  • How about Rumpole Handles a Divorce...

    8.8
It starts with Rumpole at home with not much to do at Chambers ("there has been an outbreak of lawlessness" he observes) until he receives a call to handle a divorce case, not something he normally does. It puts him on the spot with "she who must be obeyed" when the woman he is defending starts calling the house and Hilda starts to suspect something going on between them. Rumpole plows ahead with the case with the help of a young apprentice, Miss Trant (who becomes a regular in the series). The case takes an unusual twist at the end.moreless
