JoJo's concern was actually addressed. While the manuscript used the word cocky to describe him, the word cocky was replaced with confident in the released version of the book.
JoJo: Is that Kool-Aid?
Justine: Uh-huh. You want some?
JoJo: Yup. This is a black family and this better be some Kool-Aid.
Justine: Don't say that. All black people don't just drink Kool-Aid.
JoJo: All black people do drink Kool-Aid.
JoJo: Yeah frend. We all drink Kool-Aid.
Justine: I feel a little bad. Well, maybe we should've asked them...
Rev Run: Don't feel bad. Feel bad the way they're acting. Bill came over, the kids were like: 'I don't like the book!'
Justine: Which bill?
Rev Run: Bill the publisher.
Russell: How the **** you let Diggy come to the office and tell you that brilliant, brilliant, brilliant ****ing idea, and not tell me?
Russell: I don't really understand you, man. Come down here; let's have a meeting now.
Rasheed: (hangs up the phone) Dammit, I can't ****ing win with this dude!
Angela: I got something. You guys didn't read this part?
JoJo: Did you see the part where they talk about scheduled sex?
Russy: Eew, I'm in the room!
Vanessa: I don't want to know.
Pharrell: (talking about Diggy) I will commend him on the fact that he received the message that I try to send kids all the time. You can do anything you want to do.
Russell: If you have Uncle Russell!
Diggy: I want to pitch to you, my clothing line.
Rasheed: Ah no, you know, I got...
Diggy: It's the hottest thing that's gonna come out.
Rasheed: No sir.
Diggy: Space Age, man!
Rasheed: No way.
Diggy: You shouldn't like just blow me off just because I'm 13.
Rasheed: All right, I'll just wait like five more years and I'll blow you off then.
