Kaoru: (brightly) I've got it! How about we all take a photograph together? (noticing Sannosuke scooting away) And where are YOU going? Sannosuke: (simply) I'm not going to do that. That thing will suck out our souls. Kaoru: (exasperated) Would you stop saying that, I told you that was only a superstition! Sannosuke: (angry) It can't be just that! I heard it takes a year off every time you take a picture-- it's the tool of the devil!!
Sannosuke: (paranoid) I'm sure that there's something out there tryin to play a trick on us. When we wake up we'll find ourselves stuck in the sewers. Kaoru: (curtly) I don't think so. Sannosuke: (nervous) And no pictures for me. No way in hell! I heard that people say cameras suck away your soul- that's not a joke! Kaoru: (questionably) You still believe those superstitions? Sannosuke: (defensively) Then tell me this: how can such a huge thing like this be moving?! Kaoru: (frustrated) I told you before it's the power of steam! Sannosuke: (skeptical) But isn't steam just water vapor?! Are you stupid?? You think a kettle can move something as heavy as this big?!! Kaoru: (arguing) You're the one who's being stupid. Where do you see a kettle on this train? Sannosuke: (finally) Explain how this train's moving then?
Yahiko: Where's Sanosuke? Kaoru: He's still quivering in fear somewhere.
Kaoru: That was a close one. Sanosuke: I could've sworn I told you to stay out of this.
Kaoru: I wonder what's taking Yahiko and Kenshin so long to get back, it's getting kinda late. Sanosuke: Like I said before, they woke up, and were in a sewer.
Kenshin: Is there something bothering you? Yahiko: I just want to see the engine.
Sanosuke: I'm sure that there must be something out there playing a trick on us. When we wake up we'll find ourselves stuck in the sewers. Kaoru: I don't think so. Sanosuke: And no pictures for me... no way in hell!
Kaoru: It's so clean in here, I'm glad I payed the extra money so we could sit in this train. A little extravagance is nice now and then!
Sanosuke: Jeez, who was the one running around until right before we left? Kaoru: It's better to be safe than sorry, something that you should learn to appreciate!
Sanosuke: Those things are made by the devil. I've heard they take a year off every time you get you're picture taken. Kenshin: Well, it seems that I have managed to catch up. That I have.
Sanosuke: I think the fox and raccoon have pulled one over on us.
Sanosuke: Vapor from a kettle! Are you stupid?! You really believe a kettle can move something this big?
Additional Cast Fake Conductor - Tomohito Yashima
This episode replaced the first half of Hamtaro on this day.
Interesting Note: In the edited version, a curse word said by one of the train men managed to sneak its way onto television.
Kenshin's horse jumped at least 15- 30 feet when it jumped from ship to ship. Horses can jump only about 10 feet.
This is yet another filler episode that never happened in the manga.
