A young girl named Marimo and her father leave a circus group run by evil men named Sumida to start a circus of their own. When Marimo and her father start their "Cannon-ball girl" act (Marimo gets shot out of a cannon), Sumida's circus loses business, angering Sumida. Sumida tries to sabotage Marimo's act, but Yahiko comes to the rescue, along with Sano "the living target", Kenshin "the umbrella master", and Kaoru "the ringleader".moreless

The kenshin group must save the circus from people who plan to stop it.

This is a funny filler episode. It starts with Kaoru being scarred in the hunted house but whats funnier is she beat up a guy who was dressed up as an oni. Yahiko has fallen in love with the cannon girl, it strange that Yahiko fallen for Tsubame a few episodes ago and now this girl. Is Yahiko turning into some sort of player like Shippo. Seeing how the Kenshin group keeping the circus running is very funny while Yahiko and the cannon girl search for gunpower. I never going to forget Kaoru's bad knife throwing techinque and Kenshin singing.moreless

(They both see Kaoru throw one of her knives at Sanosuke and shot near his ear, blood coming out) Kenshin: Wow, Sano! You're bleeding! (Sanosuke can't take it anymore and start hoping aroung with the board) Kaoru: (Angry) Kenshin! Go get him! (Kenshin starts chasing Sanosuke while the audience laughs)
