Usui: I can tell how your heart shifts, like I'm holding it in my hand.
Yumi: Hey, you guys! I wish Usui would just die, but I know he will defeat Saito! And then, it will be your turn! Sanosuke: You really think our Saito will be killed by such a guy?
Usui: So Anji couldn't even kill off one of you. This is a fine, fine thing. Kenshin: If you aren't going to move... (Kenshin prepares to draw his sword, but Saito stops him with the wave of his hand) Saito: It's good for you to get angry, but don't rush. Haste will create extra tension, and cut your true strength in half.
Sanosuke: Anji... Anji: You came to. That medicine the Battousai left here seems to have worked well. Sanosuke: You were looking after me?
Kenshin: He's here. Aoshi Shinomori.
The Japenese full title of this episode that appears on the screen is The Wolf Destroys the Eye of the Heart: The Fierce Attack of the Zero Stance Gatotsu.
Hey I just got it, Usui has his "Hearts Eye" style going on, and he pretty much listens to the persons heart for when they're about to attack.
Shiki is translated to be position or stance, given it's usage to describe Saitoh's Gatotsu.
For viewers watching the English version, Zero-shiki Gatotsu is the same as the Gatotsu zero style, which uses the power in one's upper body as opposed to the legs like in the other three styles of Gatotsu.
Usui's abilities are most likely directly or indirectly influenced by American comics yet again, since they are very similar to the superhero, Daredevil.
Using the Zero-shiki Gatotsu, Saitoh impales and kills Usui. In the manga, Saitoh cut him in half at the waist.
Usui's special ability is nothing more than exceptional hearing taken to a rather absurd extreme. Shingen literally means "Eye of the Heart" or Inner Mind's Eye.
The design of Usui's room is vague reminiscent of the Seal of Lillith from Evangelion, the mask of eyes.
