Terra II is a world settled by the 6 male survivors from a disaster aboard a space ship intended to colonize it. Through cloning and limited genetic manipulation, they've managed to create a diverse and healthy population... but no females. So to offset this, they created androids in the form of the human female: The Marionettes - Emotionless and unquestioningly obedient servants. 300 years later, people have grown to accept this as the normal way of living, including the down-on-his-luck citizen Otaru. That is, until he stumbles across the forgotten marionettes Lime, Cherry and Bloodberry, each possessing a "maiden circuit", giving them amazing combat skills, free will, and some rather colorful personalities. And each intend to make Otaru her own. Naturally, Otaru's life is thrown into chaos, and if that wasn't enough, the world is on the brink of war, as the megalomaniacal warlord Faust steps up his efforts to conquer the planet... CHARACTERS.
SABER MARIONETTES. Bloodberry: Model Number: JSM-03B Height: 5'5" Weight: 110lbs Hair: Red Eyes: Red Age: 18 Measurements: 37-24-35 Combat Range: Unlimited Sensor Range: 80km (50 miles) Power: 7000hp Bloodberry is the most "mature" of Otaru's marionettes. She's fully knowledgeable in the carnal aspects of love and is always pressing Otaru to marry her and do the thing "_"; Bloodberry is also very strong (in fact they say her strength was off the scale when she was first awakened by Otaru in the royal palace, but seems that eventually she was spoiled by Otaru and her ability leveled off with that of the other marionettes). Cherry: Model Number: JSM-02T Height: 4'11" Weight: 95lbs Hair: Purple Eyes: Blue Age: 16/17 Measurements: 32-20-32 Combat Range: Unlimited Sensor Range: Entire Planet Surface Power: 6500hp Cherry is the embodiment of the perfect Japanese wife. She cooks very well, is very lovingly tender, wears kawaii kimono-like outfit (complete with giant "christmas ornaments" "_"), is very handy with computers, is highly rational and intelligent (except when she's in her love-struck mode, which is quite often), and she can fight well too... Now what more can a guy ask for? Lime: Model Number: JSM-01R Height: 5'1" Weight: 99lbs Hair: Dark Blue/Purple Eyes: Green Age: 15 Measurements: 33-22-34 Combat Range: Unlimited Sensor Range: 90km (56 miles) Power: 6800hp Lime is the first otome-kairo-equipped marionette awakened by Otaru during his accidental visit to the Japones History Museum. In many ways, Lime is like the little sister among Otaru's marionettes. She's very naive and dosen't know a lot of things about life. But perhaps that's also why Lime's emotion is the purest among the three... SABER DOLLS. Tiger: Model Number : GSM-01T Height : 5'5" Weight : 121lbs Hair: Red Eyes: Dark Brown Measurements : 38-24-35 Tiger is the first Saber doll to come into existence. She has been by Faust's side since the day she came into being. Amongst the Saber dolls, she is Limes "twin". Her love and devotion to Faust is unsurpassed. Luchs: Model Number : GSM-02L Height : 5'0" Weight : 110lbs Hair: Blue Eyes: Light Blue Measurements : 36-22-32 Luchs is the second Saber doll to come into play. Though at first quiet and mysterious, we come to learn that she is highly intelligent and deadly. Out of the Saber dolls, she is Cherry's "twin". Her intelligence and battle sensors are Cherry's equal. Panther: Model Number : GSM-03P Height: 5'0" Weight: 113lbs Hair: Blonde Eyes: Light Blue Measurements : 37-24-26 Panta, AKA Panther, is the last of the Saber dolls. Being the "twin" to Bloodberry, she has a massive amount of strength. She seldom speaks, usually talking with her fists. She is loyal to Faust to a fault. OTHER. • Saber Marionette J has the works -- action, comedy, tragedy & romance. However, after the real plot started to come into play. I simply had to see how things were going to turn out to the end. It was amazing how richly characterized the whole cast was.moreless

This series was awesome. It's full of action, comedy, drama, sci-fi, you name it, it has it. The entire Saber Marionette series was divided up like this, Saber Marionette R, Saber Marionette J, Saber Marionette J Again, and Saber Marionette J to X in that order. Otaru Mamiya and his marionettes Lime, Cherry, and Bloodberry help to protect Terra 2 from the evil Faust and his Maiden Circuit equipped saber dolls Tiger, Luchs, and Panther. All the while trying to lead a normal everyday life with 3 female robots by his side. The storyline changed each season, but in SMR, there were different characters. Junior replaces Otaru, the marionettes are the same, and instead of Faust and the saber dolls, we have Starface and the sexa dolls Edge, Canny, and Brid. This was amuch darker start to the series before J. Anything more would spoil the series, so buy the whole thing, enough said.moreless
  • My friend introduced me to this show and it is great.

    9.7
My friend gave me a DVD of this show and it was much better then I thought it would be, I love the story line and it has a lot of great action and humor. I have only seen Saber Marionette J to Saber Marionette J Again but so far it has really entertained me and some of my friends. My favorite character right now is Lime because she is the humorous one of the three Marionettes and pulls of the comedy well. Though I feel Lime gives a lot of humor, many of the other characters are sucessful at that too, Cherry's fantasy mode gets some laughs out of me and my friends. Bloodberry has suceeded as well with humor, her first times making me laugh was her attempts to please Otaru in the episode after her debut episode, a lot of them were very funny. I also like how it had some drama as well, especally after Otaru and the Marionettes went to Gartlant to stop the war and a few other times too.

I loved watching this series and I enjoying watching it repeatedly as well and it never gets old.moreless
