  • Beginning of a bad season 5 and 6...

    "Abysmal"
This is the episode in which the show jumps the shark. Fortunately, it is saved by season 7, which is much better than season 5 and 6. It jumps the shark for several reasons: Harvey is replaced by Josh, the plots are dull and unexciting, Hilda and Zelda lose their fun character and gain a dull, overdone character, and the episodes just are not funny anymore. It is sad to see the great season 4 (although seasons 1, 2, and 3 were considerably better, seeing as Valerie, Jenny, and Libby were present) being followed by the sad seasons 5 and 6. Thank god for season 7 - it saved and wonderfully ended the series.moreless

Sabrina is a freshman at Adams College. She really wants to live independently, but there are no dorm rooms available. So she tries to find her own apartment. But her aunts don't want her to move out, so they use their magic to make the places that Sabrina looks at off the charts terrible. There is a bathtub in the living room in one place, with lots of roaches in it,and other horrible places. But Sabrina finds out there is a place on campus with an opening. She goes over to look at it with her aunts and finds Morgan there, assuring Hilda and Zelda that Sabrina will be looked after. However, after the aunts leave, Morgan says she has a date and rushes out. Then Sabrina meets Roxy and Miles. She's supposed to share a room with Roxy, but Roxy makes her sleep on the couch. Sabrina didn't want to use her magic to help her get things straight, but Salem convinced her to. So, finally, Sabrina gets a bed of her own and all is well.moreless

    • Salem is in therapy for the loss of his "best friend" Harvey. This is likely justified from the Season 3 finale 'The Good, the Bad and the Luau', where a Dr.Doolittle spell allowed Harvey to talk to animals without suspicions. During that weekend, Harvey and Salem became pals. Edit
    • Regarding the Friday the 13th episode, there are several possible explanations for Harvey not dumping Sabrina: 1. Harvey did not realize Sabrina had put so many spells on him in that episode. 2. They didn't know each other for a long time back then, they weren't in a relationship either, if I remember correctly. It's fairly different. 3. Harvey was personally told. In season 4's last episode, Harvey risked his life to find out. 4. The writers wanted to get rid of Harvey and couldn't think of another way to do it. Edit
    • In response to the previous poster: The "Sabrina" producers tried many times during seasons 5-7 to change the "Sabrina, the Teenage Witch" title to just "Sabrina," because Sabrina was no longer a teenager. However, Archie Comics (which owns the rights to the "Sabrina" character,) prohibited the show from changing the title. For marketing purposes, though, the WB just called the show "Sabrina" in the advertisements. Edit
