I guess that's the reason why 1) she went nowhere when she was fird after season 6 2) she did not appear in the series finale and 3) she was a dramedian. Any arguments?

I didn't know she was fired.

I thought she was great on the show. She was my favorite aunt, in the first 4 seasons, but then her character seemed to change in 5 and 6. Zelda seemed to get a bit full of herself, to me at least.

It maybe too late to retry this series, but I think it was not a good idea for Beth to be absent from the series finale. Her absence destroys the series finale of this show.

Yeah. Only naming Zelda's presence by being a candle just wasn't right.

If there is a reunion of this show, then Beth will tell you the reason why she never appeared in the series finale. One reason is probably not earning enough money as Caroline Rhea and the other important characters of the show.

Not really. The candle was a substitute since she did not appear in the series finale. But it would be better if she came back in the series finale rather being absent.

The candle should get it's own spin-off show

I agree that it sucked that Zelda did not appear in the finale, and it sucked the way both aunts were written out of the show.

But I have to say, TabbieMcCatt, you are hilarious. You are my hero.

You are a stalker, Tabbie!!! Besides, listen, Beth Broderick should not have been absent in the series finale because it destroys the looks and story of this show.

Well there's nothing you can do about it now Ignatius, unless you want this show retried too?

Actually Tabbie, the only thing that needs to be re-tried is the series finale episode only.

Is there room for a candle based character in the retry?

No. Beth should have appeared in the series finale than just a candle.

I agree. Very articulate and its timing was superb.

IMO, Beth Broderick's absence in the series finale is unexcusable and lame.

I agree with ireeagle, Beth Broderick should not have been absent in the series finale at all. Her absence in the series finale destroys the reality and story of this show. But there may be some reason why she didn't appear in the series finale after she left this show at the end of Season 6:

    1) Her comedy talent is lacking publicity, unlike Caroline Rhea's.

    2) She began to develop a drama talent, which is not expensive in comedy.

    3) Both.
