Melissa Joan Hart is in a new movie!!

'Holidays in Handcuffs' debuts on December 9 on ABC Family, part of their 25 days to Christmas movie specials.
Melissa plays a kidnapper! It also stars Mario Lopez from Saved by the Bell.

Just like many ABCfamily premiers, it'll likely be repeated the next day or something.

    I saw it last night!
Very well done compared to the other xmas movies on tv lately.

At 1st, the premise was hard to swallow. But that changed with the twist, when Mario said he would play the perfect bofriend just to stick the truth when he's rescued. Then it got really fun.

Funny, I found it more of a Mario movie than Mel-Jo. While I love Mel-Jo, the kidnapping premise really couldn't get me to care about her character enough.
    Still, a good movie.

It was really good right?!?!?! Once they showed her family and how bad it really was for her I felt so bad for her and then that home perm she did was just terrible. Lucky for her things worked out well.

Wow, I didn't have high expectations for this movie because of the odd premise, but I LOVED it!

It was so cute & SOOO well cast.....

Definitely my favorite ABC Family movie ever....

'Twould be cool if they have a sequel to Holiday in Handcuffs. The family could be visiting Mel-Jo & Mario, who are newly married, for xmas, but their new house is falling apart or something.

The movie would be called "Bless This House".

LOl that would be kind of amazing! I am sure they could come up with all kinds of funky situations for them if they really wanted to. With the success of the film you never know what could happen too. I am just happy they keep providing us with great programming!

    Thanks!
I figure the backstory for "Bless This House" is after they got married, her parents were interfering again and found them a nice home in their neighborhood. But Mel-Jo and Mario were out to prove themselves so they went and bought their own house fast, then invited everyone for Xmas.
But they soon begin to discover the house falling apart and things going haywire (like the heating/air conditioning) but can't let the parents know or they'll never hear the end of it.

So during the movie they have to keep coming up with excuses so the nosy parents don't discover the truth.

At 1 point, Mario would tell her alone "Look, why don't we just tell them the truth?"

MelJo: You kidding? You know what they'd do with that information! Remember last Christmas?

[we get a flashback of the crazy parents from the 1st movie.]

Mario: Yah, you're right. The kidnapping wasn't the worst part of it!

LOL, you know that is not half bad at all and could actually work for this type of film. I know it would be really funny. I know Snowglobe comes on again this Saturday but maybe if Holiday in Handcuffs comes on again you can watch it and get some more ideas for your sequel.
