Valentine's Day is around the corner when an anonymous Valentine arrives at the Spellman home. At first Sabrina and Zelda think that it was sent to them by Harvey or Mr. Kraft, but at finding out it wasn't from them, they conclude that it was sent to Hilda by an admirer. Hoping to cheer Hilda up after having to return Daniel Boone back to the past, Sabrina and Zelda rush to give her the good news, only to find out that she has been hiding Daniel in the attic. Meanwhile, Sabrina soon comes down with "Candy Heart Syndrome," causing her aunts to realize that the Valentine was sent to her by Josh. As a result, Sabrina has to find a way with Roland's help to get Josh to stop vying for her heart, before the spell causes her to break up with Harvey. Meanwhile, Salem decides to wage war on a neighborhood bird.moreless

I just watched Salem's Daughter, the second time you see Daniel Boone, and by the way the plot transpired, it looks like it should have aired just before this episode. I mean, Love in Bloom starts with Hilda hiding Boone in the attic because Zelda told her she had to return him to his time, which she does later in the episode via the Lost in Time Clock. In Salem's Daughter, Hilda gets Boone from the clock, thinking he was Davy Crocket and clearly not recognizing him even though if the episodes where meant to be played in the order they were she would have spent who knows how long with him and should certainly recognize him. Then at the end of the episode she says she sent him back even though she hadn't then proceeds to take him to the coffee shop with her where she tells all this to Sabrina.

Anyone know why they showed them in the order they did? Seems like they made a really annoying mistake.moreless

    • (Daniel Boone comes into the kitchen) Daniel Boone:(to Hilda) Say honey bee, you got any more of this cornbread? Zelda: Honey bee's got some explaining to do! Hilda:(to Daniel Boone) What does 'stay in the attic' mean to you?

  • NOTES (3)

    ADD NOTES
    • In season two it is mentioned that Zelda and Hilda were on opposite sides of the Civil war, in episode "A doll story." Here it is mentioned that Zelda was in love with a man named Ulysses S. Grant who was a general-in-chief of the Union Army who fought for the North. So that probably means that Zelda was on the side for the North and Hilda was on the side so the South.

    • This is Phil Fondacaro's last appearance as Roland the Troll. He appeared in five episodes throughout the series.

    • First appearance of Daniel Boone, who also appears in Salem's Daughter.
