  • Trivia

    • Dashiell is half-mortal like Sabrina, but lives with both of his parents (mentioned when discussing their punishments for spreading rumors). How come Dashiell doesn't have to be separated from his mortal parent like Sabrina is from her mom?

    • In season one's episode "Magic Joel", Donald Faison plays a character called Justin. In this episode, he's character's name is Dashiell.

    • Like Sabrina, Dashiell is also half mortal.

    • Interestingly, Donald Faison was also starring on the tv show "Clueless" when this episode aired. Co-starring in "Clueless" was Elisa Donovan, who would join the cast of Sabrina as Morgan in season five. "Clueless" originally aired on ABC's TGIF, but was cancelled and picked up by UPN.

    • Harvey is Sabrina's boyfriend. Why would she spread rumors about him?

    • In this episode, Sabrina's assignment from the Quizmaster is to do charity work in the Other Realm.

  • Quotes

    • Sabrina: I live in the mortal realm.
Dashiell: Really? Me too! Revere, Massachussetts.
Sabrina: Westbridge. Hey, you have that huge linebacker who pulverized our quarterback.
Dashiell: And then the game started and things really got bad.

    • Hilda: Zelda and I are gonna take a little trip.
Sabrina: Is that a euphemism for plastic surgery?

    • Sabrina: (Thinking) Washing old witches? Nope! And may I add gross!

    • Quizmaster: If you want your witches licence you have to do charity work and you have to give it your all, you can't just phone it in.
Sabrina: Okay get off my back, I'll help others. Let's go.
Quizmaster: Sorry, you have to do it on your own.
      Sabrina: Fine.
      Quizmaster: What's this?
Sabrina: My homework, give it your all and don't just phone it in.

    • Zelda: Let's go see the world's largest ball of twine.
      Salem: Twine?
Hilda: One question, why? And please let the answer be that you have a fever.
Salem: T-T-T-Twine? Is that the brochure and if so, can I keep it in my basket?

    • Witch Judge: Are you aware that you have no teeth?
Sabrina: I did it to right a wrong. Can't anything be done about it?
Witch Judge: Only because we're all about to lose our lunch.

    • Quizmaster: All the damage you've done will slowly go away after you start a vicious rumor about yourself. And make it a good one!

    • Dashiell: Oh shoot, that reminds me, I gave my cousin Lilian bat wings!

    • Harvey: Somebody better figure something out, because these are not birthing hips!

    • Sabrina: Okay, and that's the rumor I started about Harvey being pregnant. That settles it, this is a major coincidence.

    • Salem: Are you telling me that this family is going to see the world's largest ball of twine and the cat isn't coming?
      Hilda: Sorry.
Salem: All due respect ladies, would I leave you behind if I was going to see the world's largest eligible bachelor?
Zelda: Yes, if our entire goal was to unravel him.

    • Calzone: In this realm, rumours are considered to be the highest form of entertainment. Think Riverdance with a conscience.

    • Calzone: Hi, I see you've met my nephew, Dashiell. A good, fine young witch for a half mortal.
Sabrina: Hey, I'm half mortal too!
Dashiell: Cool! Are you right handed?
Sabrina: Yeah! Wow, it's like looking in a mirror.

    • Hilda: At least tell me it's somewhere exotic.
      Zelda: It's in Kansas.
Hilda: Oh, the Paris of the mid-west.

  • Notes

  • Allusions

    • Calzone: Think Riverdance with a conscience.

Riverdance is a theatrical show consisting of traditional Irish step dancing, notable for its rapid leg movements while body and arms are kept largely stationary.

    • Calzone: The hills are alive with the sound of gossip.

This is an allusion to the movie and play The Sound of Music; the title song (The Sound of Music) contains the line: "The hills are alive with the sound of music..."
