Who was the Episode MVP ?

  • Probably the best way to end this awesome show

I have to admit that Season 7 wasn't a very good one for me in the beginning. Sabrina's coworkers were annoying and I just didn't care for them because they were very one note in personality. Anyway, as far as tv series finales goes, this one was pretty decent. I was so relieved that Sabrina ended up with Harvey, her true soulmate. Sorry, I really didn't like Aaron, the way he was brought in and how they rushed their relationship was very unsettling, so much so that I would have rather her end up with Josh if they couldn't get Harvey to come back (and I really didn't care for Josh neither lol).

I was a little bummed that they couldn't get Beth Broderick (Aunt Zelda) to return to the finale, it would have been amazing to see all three Spellmans together again. Another thing that could have made this ending even better was if Valerie could have made it to the wedding as well. I would have included Jenny but they pretend like she never existed unfortunately but I digress, Valerie was Sabrina's good friend and it would have been nice to see her be a part of the wedding as well.

All in all, despite the show's quality slipping a bit in season 6 and especially in the first half of season 7, the show will always be a special one and the ending, despite a few nitpicks was equally satisfying.moreless
  • Sabrina the Teenage Witch rocks

    It was awesome
  • Good ending Awesome series

good ending but the only thing i hate about this show is that they always have 2 end
  • A great ending to a great show.

I know I've said Josh and Sabrina we're a good couple, but after seeing Sabrina almost getting married to Aaron, i've realized Harvey and Sabrina have too much history together to just get married to another person. They belong together and I for one have thought this was the most well scripted, well written, well acted Sabrina episode i've ever seen. Harvey and Sabrina deserve each other. Even if Sabrina is a witch and Harvey is a mortal they belong to each other. Even Aunt Vesta, who loathes mortal/witch weddings even agrees. This, as i said before, was the most well scripted, well written, well acted Sabrina the teenage witch episode i've ever seen.moreless
  • Great ending to a great series.

It's Sabrina's wedding day, and she has cold feet- literally. Everything takes an unexpected turn when Hilda, Sabrina's mom, and Zelda- in the form of a candle- comes, while Amanda is trying to get Harvey to come to the wedding. Then, Sabrina finds Doubt- the person- in her room, and he tells her about soul stones and such. Soul stones are the essence of someone's soul, and it fits together perfectly with their soulmate's soul stone. Sabrina, doubting that she's Aaron's soul mate, goes to the north star to get her own soul stone, and tries to fit her's into Aaron's. The stones don't fit together. Sabrina begins to doubt even more, and must decide whether or not she wants to be with her true soul mate. Amanda, seeing Sabrina like this, gives Harvey his soul stone, knowing what will happen when he finds it. Sabrina, at the last minute, backs out of the wedding, wanting to be with her true soul mate. When Sabrina walks out of the chapel, she finds none other than Harvey-referring to the soul stone Amanda gave him- saying that he doesn't know what it is, but knew that he'd find out if he came here. She rides off with him, and finds out that he's her soul mate when their soul stones fit together. It ends with that, and Sabrina's dad says: Would you look at that. 12:36, on the dot.

12:36 was the exact minute that Harvey and Sabrina met when they were teenagers. Great ending, one of the best series finales I've ever seen.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (5)

    • Remember all of Sabrina's relatives from her father's side of the family that she met over the years? They weren't mentioned or seen on-screen at Sabrina's wedding? (However, Uncle Mortimer was mentioned being there by Aunt Hilda) However, in his appearance in Season 2's "The Pom-Pom Incident" he was referred to as their cousin.

    • Aaron's mother sings "I'm Still Here" from Stephen Sondheim's Follies while stalling at the wedding.

    • Amanda gives Harvey an unexpected gift that will change his life - his soul stone that is a perfect fit with Sabrina's.

    • When Sabrina's mom was turned into a ball of wax in one of the earlier episodes, she was able to talk, but how come Zelda wasn't able to talk when she was turned to wax?

    • In episode 139, Sabrina had to give up her true love so her Aunt Hilda could be with her true love. So if Sabrina and Harvey are soul mates, how can they get back together when she sacrificed her true love?

Response: Actually, Aunt Zelda sacrificed her adult years so that Sabrina would be able to have her true love after all--who, we find out, is Harvey.

Response: The actual question should be why Sabrina thinks that there might be a possibility that Aaron is her soul mate when the three guys that walked away are Harvey, Josh and Luke, the guy that fixed her shoe.

  • QUOTES (16)

    • Hilda: And Sabrina, no matter what you decide to do, it's not the end of the world. Believe me, I've been to the end of the world. This isn't it.

    • Sabrina: First, the circus showed up and there was no room for him in my heart, then he was a goldfish!
Hilda: Sounds like a normal courtship.

    • Morgan: Ok, so, one blue toenail, five dollars I borrowed from the flower girl... (The flower girl glares at Morgan)
Morgan: Oh, calm down, you'll get it back!

    • Aaron (after telling everyone what to do): Hilda, go feed your llama.

    • Sabrina (after her and Aaron's souls stones don't fit together): Oh no! What am I supposed to say, "I almost do"?

    • Sabrina: Thoughts collected.
      (Amanda appears)
      Sabrina: And thoughts lost.

    • Morgan (handing the phone to Aaron): His name is Al, he's got 300 pounds of shrimp in his trunk, and he doesn't know where to put it.
Aaron's Father (to Aaron): Give it to your mother. She'll tell him where to put it.

    • Morgan (on the phone): Yes, for the 10000th time, I am positive. Get off the parkway and take a right.
      Roxy: Left.
Morgan: Get off the parkway and take a left.

    • (After attempting to weld Aaron's soul stone with hers)
      Sabrina: Almost...I mean, pretty close.
Salem: And like they say....close only counts in horseshoes, hand grenades, and soul mates!

    • Sabrina:Harvey?
Harvey: (holding the soul mate stone) I'm not sure what this is...but something tells me I'll find it here.
      Sabrina:And I think I found mine
(runs up and kisses Harvey as No Doubt's "Running" is playing in the background. A shot of the wedding guests waving is shown, and then a shot of Sabrina riding on the back of Harvey's motorcycle is shown as the picture fades)

    • (everyone has followed Sabrina out of the chapel; they look on, smiling, as Sabrina and Harvey share a passionate kiss)
      Hilda: (beaming) It's about time.
(the candle, which is really Zelda, lights up)
Hilda: (to "Zelda") I just said that!

    • Salem: So how do you feel? Nervous, frightened, scared, tense, petrified?
Sabrina: Excited, happy, joyful. I'm getting married, how do you think I feel?
Salem: Nervous, frightened, scared. I just wanna make sure you're not getting cold feet.

    • (last lines of the series, as Sabrina and Harvey rekindle their romantic flame)
Roxie: (about Sabrina and Harvey) I guess he's the "something old" she needed.
Edward Spellman: Would you look at that? 12:36 on the dot.

    • Sabrina: 12:36. That's the exact time Harvey and I first met.

    • Sabrina: (to Doubt, the annoying little elf) No! No Doubt!...Although their last CD was good!

    • Morgan: And this is a bracelet I found in your jewelry box, so it's something old and stolen.

  • NOTES (13)

    • In this episode, Caroline Rhea (Aunt Hilda) is credited as a "Special Guest Star," since she had left the cast at the start of season 7.

    • Sabrina and Salem are the only characters to appear in every episode, the two TV movies and the pilot movie, in 1996.

    • Featured Music:
      No Doubt-"Running"

    • This is the first time that Emily Hart (Amanda) has appeared twice in one season.

    • Harvey and Hilda are the only characters besides Sabrina & Salem to at least appear in every season.

    • This is actually the second script written for this episode. In the first one, Sabrina graduates from College and Hilda, Amanda and Sabrina's mother come to watch, with Zelda as a book, Harvey also watches Sabrina graduate but doesn't go to the wedding, and bids his final good byes to her before the wedding. As Sabrina graduates she marrys Aaron later in the day, and when returning home with guests she packs her bags waiting to go to LA with Aaron. Her dad pays a visit to say goodbye, but just as Sabrina goes in the car to go to LA with Aaron, she notices a saddend Salem near the back door porch. She runs over to him to say good bye and all happy Sabrina's last line was going to be. "This is so cool! I'm going to go into the big wide world" and Salem was going to have the last line in the show saying "You have no idea" which is what he said as his first line in the show. Sabrina rushes off into the car and Aaron and Sabrina drive off. This was going to be a 1 hour final but got cut down to just half an hour resulting, in the script being written again, but with Sabrina not seen graduating, not marrying Aaron, last lines etc.

    • Aunt Zelda appears as a candle in this episode, because she and Hilda needed to trade something at the Witch's Council so Sabrina's mom wouldn't turn into a ball of wax and could see Sabrina on her wedding day.

    • Morgan as she says to Sabrina "And I found this bracelet in your jewelery box, so it's something old and stolen". The bracelet is the one Harvey had given her in As Westbridge Turns. This goes to show, that even after Sabrina and Harvey broke up, Sabrina still kept something that reminded her of him, implying she still had feelings for him.

    • Sabrina realises that her True Love/Soul Mate was Harvey all along in this episode.

    • Edward Spellman has the last ever line on the show saying "Would you look at that, 12:36 on the dot" after Harevy and Sabrina kiss and get on the motor bike. 12:36 is the time Sabrina and Harvey first met, and the same time when they go back out as Soul Mates.

    • Had the series gone on for an 8th Season, it would have been about Harvey and Sabrina's married life in a haunted house.

    • When Aunt Hilda enters Sabrina's bridal suite, she remarks that she can't believe Sabrina invited her Uncle Mortimer. Uncle Mortimer previously appeared in episode 54, A Pom Pom Incident.

    • In an interview with Entertainment Tonight in May, 2003, Melissa Joan Hart admitted that she did not allow her fiance, Mark Wilkerson, on the set of this episode. She said that it would have been too akward for her if her boyfriend was there while she filmed her kissing scenes with Nate Richert (Harvey Kinkle.)

    • Sabrina: Yeah, two halves of a whole? Yin and Yang? Ben and Jerry?

Ben & Jerry's is a brand of ice cream, frozen yogurt, sorbet, and novelty products, manufactured by Ben & Jerry's Homemade Holdings, Inc., headquartered in South Burlington, Vermont, and owned by Unilever.
