Valerie, Sabrina and Harvey all claim that they cannot play instruments. But in "Mars Attracts", as Harvey waits for Sabrina to call him, he plays the guitar.
In this episode, when Sabrina asks Harvey and Valerie if one of them can play an instrument, they both don't answer. But in the episode "Dream Date", When Sabrina asks him the same question, Harvey says he can play the bassoon.
Valerie: (Watching Libby's band) You still stuck on that whole "us winning" thing?
Sabrina: Come on, it's not so bad. I mean, the only difference between us and them is... they're talented!
Harvey: Makes you wonder if Hitler was actually a good painter.
Sabrina: Salem, there are five bottles here!
Salem: Very good Sabrina! Now what color is the tablecloth?
Harvey: Hey, guess what? The school is having a battle of the bands and I signed us up.
Sabrina: I didn't know we were a band...
Harvey: Every group had to start somewhere, usually in a garage. We can leap frog that and start in a gym.
Dr. Terdlington: How about dinner next Thursday?
Zelda: How about you kiss my cold fusion?
Sabrina: Why are we dressed like worms?
Harvey: They're brown uni-tards, it's a comment on an asexual society. And I'm the universal love being, signified by the goat ears and the sleeveless spandex vestments.
Zelda: Well I hope she got the job, it's so hard for her to find a place to play around here.
Sabrina: Yeah, her musical talent is a wonderful gift, and she needs to bore other people with it.
Howie: (After the guys start singing) Guys, come on! The game is still tied!
Zelda: Hello, you don't know me, but I just wanted to say Dr. Terdlington is a hero, Zelda Spellman is a zero.
(Hangs up the phone)
Dr. Terdlington: Now onto the B's.
Zelda: That's it! I am through apologizing. Either you give me the formula or you go.
Dr. Terdlington: You know Zelda, I've always liked you.
Zelda: You... What?
Dr. Terdlington: Well, the science biz is so full of phonies but I like your fire.
Zelda: Well actually I've always admired you. Not your personality, but your mind.
Roadie: Here's your four-alarm humus.
Valerie: Finally!
Sabrina: Aunt Zelda, we won! You should have seen the look on Libby's face, shocking disbelief really becomes her.
Zelda: Hilda's still not back from her audition?
Salem: No, that's Spanish for no.
Beginning with this episode, a new Salem the Cat puppet design debuts, due to the company that made the older Salem animatronic puppets, Animal Makers, was fired from the show. The Salem puppets from here on were produced by Chiodo Brothers.
John Ducey makes a guest starring apperence as the band judge. The writers or the crew must have liked him, because he later starred in the show's seventh season as Leonard.
This episode is modeled after a Sabrina comic issue in which to beat Libby's band she gets a big band to play with (in the comic she gets Josie and the Pussycats).
