This episode marks the first time Sabrina cackles over a cauldron. She previously commented on how cool it was when her aunts did it in the Season 1 episode "Trial by Fury."
At the end of the opening credits in this episode, Sabrina is wearing a strawberry outfit and says "Pick me! Pick me!"
Sabrina: It's nice to know that good things happen to horrible people.
Sabrina: I'm starting to think that money is the root of all popularity. Hilda: Don't forget fear.
Diamond Dave: I like my ladies upbeat and zesty!
Harvey: If we're on the bus, then the bus is the cool way to go on the field trip. Sabrina: Well, we know it doesn't work that way, but thanks.
C.K.: That's why they call him Diamond Dave. Not Amber Dave, not Aquamarine Dave... Diamond Dave!
Libby: The selection process will be strictly Darwinian, survival of the cutest.
(As she is playing cards with the neighborhood dogs) Sabrina: I'm taking my winnings. And buy you all rawhide treats. Bulldog: God bless this woman.
(After Sabrina shows up in a Porsche and Libby's friends walk to the bus) Libby: But I have an opening, next to an air bag. Come back! Sabrina: We'll try not to gun it when we pass you on the thru-way.
Salem (After waking up with a empty cat food can on his head): Oh, man! I dreamt I was out of food. Wow, check all those dead soldiers. Wait a minute. I am out of food! Now I've really gotta save them!
Diamond Dave (to Hilda, Zelda and Sabrina): Your magic's no good here. And neither is your credit.
(During his poker game) Salem: Last chip, last chance.
Valerie and Mr. Kraft do not appear in this episode.
Salem: From now on we play at Lassie's house. Lassie is a fictional dog that has starred in, or been the subject of, many radio shows, movies, TV shows, and books, entertaining generations of children around the world from 1938 to the present.
Libby: Freako, Warrior Princess. This is an allusion to the title character Xena of the tv show "Xena: Warrior Princess".
The scene where Salem skids across the floor in a white shirt is a send up of a famous scene from the film Risky Business starring Tom Cruise.
The title is a pun on the game show You Bet Your Life.
