  • It's the holiday season and everyone's celebrating - there aren't enough people at the newspaper office to cope with all that's going on.

This was a mildly entertaining episode, although, as always, no-one should imagine that it has anything to do with the way actual newspaper reporters go about their business. Movie old-timer Edward Everett Horton contributes a nice, if rather corny, cameo as the quiet old man who turns out to have been a hotshot reporter in days gone by, whilst Michael Wilding plays a cheerful English aristocrat who has had some experience in Fleet Street and can handle the telephones and dictate a rewrite when a big story comes in. It's nonsense, of course, but at least this time it doesn't pretend to be anything else.moreless
