  • Probably the best episode of this show.

And it's still only average. This is the only episode where I'm not changing my vote to 1 or 1.5 like I did for all the other episodes. I agree with everything StephanieCast2 wrote. There's not much else left to say. But I've noticed ALL Dan Schneider shows have lots of average and terrible episodes. I wish these shows didn't have such bad episodes sometimes.
  • It's Ok

There's nothing really memorable about this episode. I didn't think it was terrible but it wasn't the greatest thing I've ever seen either. There are parts of the plot that I didn't enjoy like Cat digging through trash can for her gum, personally thought that was disgusting. I also didn't like it when the kids stole the fast food and made the manager chase them until he passed out and then Cat and Sam performed CPR to get rewarded for something that wouldn't have happened if Sam hadn't been so reckless.

Sam: She's not so much of a lazy jerk as she was in iCarly

Cat: She got somewhere between 10-50% dumber than she was on Victorious, but is nice to everyone which kind of makes up for her stupidity.

Nona: I don't see why she just quits being a babysitter if she doesn't like it so much and I feel her wanting to go the retirement home is kind of selfish of her because Cat's still in school and I assume that she still attends Holly Wood Arts (unless they graduated but I didn't see the last episode of victorious)

Kids: they're Ok, there's not much to say about them

Neighbor: I don't remember his name but he sells celebrity hair, and is a typical con artist

    Grade: C-

  • Sam and Cat: #PIlot

Here are my thoughts on the pilot episode of Sam and Cat, my favorites are always the main favor when I talk about Victorious and iCarly, but Sam and Cat might be the worst of all of them, my whole thing is that Cat Valentine of Victorious is very nice and at times funny in the episode, but her voices and naive way of talking make her sound annoying at times, Dan Schneider the creator of Sam and Cat should focus in a different direction with making children of Nickelodeon laugh, and its not going to be Sam and Cat.moreless
  • Pilot

A little bit shaky at times, but if you are a fan of Dan Schneider shows then you probably loved the jokes throughout this one. Ariana Grande was better utilized here than during Victorious, but I still question how long these two supporting characters can be leads of a show.

Not as bad as I expected though.

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

  • TRIVIA (2)

    • According to the show's creator, Dan Schneider, "Sam & Cat" is the first show ever to be a spin-off of two different shows.

Even though Sam and Cat both appeared in the episode "iParty with Victorious" Cat only recognizes Sam from "iCarly" and Sam does not remember Cat at all.  According to Schneider, "they never really interacted [in iParty].  So, to me, this is their first real meeting – and I love that it happens in a moving garbage truck."

Both characters appeared in the iCarly episode, "iParty with Victorious"  Cat recognizes Sam because she watches iCarly.  But neither character remembers meeting each other.  According to Schneider, "they never really interacted.  So, to me, this is their first real meeting – and I love that it happens in a moving garbage truck."

  • QUOTES (10)

    • Dice: You know, you look like Sam from that web show iCarly.
Sam: Nah, that chick's way hotter than me.

    • Cat: Ugh, what's that smell?
Sam: That's you, and me, from swimming in garbage. I gotta go find somewhere to hose myself off.
Cat: Oh! Well, come take a bath at my Nona's.
      Sam: What's a Nona?
Cat: My grandma, I live with her.
Sam: Oh, thanks, but you don't have to...
Cat: Oh, please! You saved me from being squished in garbage. Let me repay you with the gift of bathing.

    • Nona: This Friday, we're all getting in the pool to watch a funny movie!
Cat: That would be perfect for you!
      Nona: I know!
Cat: Cause sometimes when you laugh really hard you pee a little, and you'll already be in the pool.
      Nona: Shh!

    • Sam: Dude! Stop the truck! IT ATE A GIRL!

    • Sam: Hey! Aw man! (saving Cat and abandoning her burrito; to her burrito) I'll miss you. (kisses burrito)

    • Cat: Come on! I'm taking you home!
Nona: No! I love this place! Look at that guy! He's single and he's hot!

    • Cat: (looking for Nona at Elderly Acres) Nona? Nona?! (shakes and old man) WHERE IS MY NONA?!

    • Sam: What's that redheaded chick doing in a trash can? And why is there a battery in my burrito?

    • (Cat climbs in bed next to Sam)
: Uh, what are you doing?
Cat: I'm gonna sleep here next to you so you don't get scared.
Sam: I don't get sca... Oh, whatever.

    • Cat: You left the baby in the bush!
      Sam: I'm getting the baby!
