  • Good episode where Samantha's boss returns and proposes to her.

    8.5
This was probably one of the best episodes of Samantha Who I have seen so far. The writing and acting was excellent all round. It wa a shame Frank wasn't in it as he is one of my favourites. The whole scenario with Dena writing some kind of wild romance novel based on Samantha was hilarious and really well done. The kiss with Todd at the end was perfect too. Andrea had some great moments too. Regina was also on top form, I was glad to see. The episode was well worth watching as it had lots of pace and humour.moreless
  • There is a new boss in Samantha's world and he's turning heads wherever he goes.

    8.5
In one word this episode was brilliant. Not only did I enjoy the guest appearance, rephrase that filthy rich, daringly attractive guest appearance, but Samantha seemed more funnier and spontaneous around him. I hope for a reprisal of Winston's (The Boss) role, because he was dashing and very casual. You didn't expect that Samantha would have a new love interest. Todd is indecisive and too wrapped up with his crazy girlfriend living in Samantha's hotel, wait, I would have kicked their butts out in the curb and move in. At certain points in the series, the humor settled and you just viewed the show because you want some humor back and this episode brings out the beauty in Samantha.

Right now I figure that Todd is not the best person for Samantha right now and Winston should come back into the picture.moreless
  • One of the best, if not the best, episodes of this series so far.

    9.4
This episode kept my attention the entire time. I liked the storyline with the boss and Sam. This episode renewed my faith in this series. It was very entertaining and I loved the ending. It was very easy to watch, and even though it was not a very probable story line, it was fun. The ending was very entertaining, sweet, and well-recieved. It was a pivotal episode in the series because through the storyline, the characters are forced to realize and act on their true feelings about each other. While nothing concrete was determined, the realizations are sweet and create hope for the viewers for what is to come.moreless
  • This is the best episode of this show so far. There was never a dull moment and the writing was excellent.

    9.4
With all of the conflicting emotions going on in this episode, they still found time to punctuate just about every scene with one or two snappy little jokes.

Several exchanges between Sam and Andrea had that best-friends-having-an-arguement feel to them - but there was always a laugh or two tagged on for good measure. I especially liked the long flashback where Sam lies to Andrea's face as she sabotages her career track for selfish reasons. It felt like this show was in it's fifth season and they were touching on a turning point from season one.

Sam is torn between to former boyfriends (neither of whom she remembers much about), and is really having trouble trying to figure out which one she has a future with. I would imagine that, in a toss-up situation, you normally go with the billionaire. But not the new Samantha. .

Like most people, she is attracted to the person who doesn't want to be involved instead of the rich guy who is throwing himself at her. We're not sure why, but it makes for good comedy TV. This show (and Christina) really seem to be growing on us.moreless

    • Samantha: Please don't write what I do before I do it. It's just creepy.
      Dena: And still she ran...
      Samantha: Stop it!

    • Dena: Oh. Pish posh. Contretemps and dischord are always to be expected between friends with fiery natures.
Samantha: You are going to stop talking like this when you've finished with your book, right?
      Dena: One does hope so.

    • Samantha: It's cold.
Winston: We could be in Barbados by morning.
Samantha: You know who likes the tropics and also bossing around people from Third World countries is my friend Andrea.

    • Samantha: (talking about Winston) How can I love him? Plus Andrea is in love with him.
Regina: Oh, Andrea. She just loves him for his money.
      Samantha: So do you.
      Regina: Yes.

    • Samantha: (to Winston) I was out for eight days and when I woke up, I couldn't remember my name, or my friends, or liquid soap. I'm still a little fuzzy on what an REO Speedwagon is.

    • Samantha: (on the phone in the elevator with everyone listening) Hi Todd, it's me again. You know, in some countries it's actually considered rude to ignore messages after someone has left 20 or 30 of them. Maybe not as rude as pretending you and I had sex to get rid of your girlfriend, but close.

    • Winston: Samantha Newly, the day we've been waiting for is finally here. Marry me.
      Samantha: Screw me.

    • Andrea: I hate you, and I don't like your shoes today. And if you fell off the face of the earth, I wouldn't even care.
Samantha: (crying) Good... there's more billionaires for me.

    • Andrea: It's not the money...I swear I would love him if he was just a millionaire. And he's getting divorced. Should I go for it?
Samantha: Andrea, he is charming, good looking, rich and available. If you don't go for him, I wi...
Andrea: (interrupting, threateningly) ... I'll tear you apart.
      Samantha: I was kidding.
      Andrea: Yah, me too.

    • Samantha: You think you can just propose and then touch me.
Winston: What's wrong? Georgette and I are through. Are you still with that boyfriend of yours? Ted? Fred?
      Samantha: Frod. Todd! No.
Winston: Then there's nothing in the way.

    • Dena: Well, are you a heroine who's willing to risk everything she has to win the stable boy she loves? Or you're a heroine who just gives up and throws herself on some rocks.
Samantha: Todd won't return my phone calls. There's nothing that I can do.
      Dena: (nods her head) Rocks.

    • Winston: Hello again, Sam.
Samantha: Hi. You're just not used to hearing the word "No", are ya'?
Winston: I hear it all the time. It's that little noise right before "Yes".

    • Samantha: OK, I mean you seem nice enough. So, why not?
Winston: Are you saying you'll marry me?
Samantha: No, I'm... No, I'm saying that maybe you can buy me coffee sometime. A cup, not a franchise.

    • Samantha: (to Todd) Uhmm, you said that you never wanted to see me again. I mean, what do you want me to do, sit around and not get married?
(Todd grabs Samantha and kisses her)
Narrator: Amber fire in his heart, the shy but smoldering stable boy yielded to the stunning blonde amnesiac. She was his destiny.
Todd: Well now, look at what you made me do. Damn it, Sam! (walks away)
Narrator: He was just too dense to know it yet.

    • Samantha: (to Winston) I smell cupcakes. Are you so rich you smell like cupcakes?

    • Winston: It was nice of your mother to let me take the rest of the potatoes home.
Samantha: Yeah, she's gonna want that container back.
      Winston: Oh, okay.
Samantha: And don't lose the lid, she really hates that.

    • Samantha: (on the phone to Todd's answering machine, while standing in line behind him) Just keep in mind that by now, I do know your routine... I know when you get your coffee, and those big, fat cinnamon rolls that you just love so much, but then you feel so guilty for eating them that you go and run off the calories in the park like a GIRL! Anyhoo...

    • Samantha: (to Dena) If Andrea finds out I had a relationship with this guy, she is going to KILL me! I mean, I accidentally ate her yogurt the other day, and she bent all my fingers back!
