  • When did this show get back on air???

Well ABC, are you or are you not gonna cancel this show? Please end this godforsaken speculation.

This episode was OK for most part. The whole rock star idea was clearly intended to be a filler episode. The saving grace this time was Andrea for sure. Howard turning out to be a rock star himself in his old days came as quite a surprise. In fact, I repeatedly kept picturing himself as Shia Lebeouf's dad in Transformers 2. Frank who usually has good share of lines was rather underutilized. Todd had a couple of good lines, where he suspects Tommy to be trying out his shoes and stealing his sunglasses. Fine by most standards. Really don't care anymore as it stands to canceled anytime.moreless

Trivia, Notes, Quotes and Allusions

FILTER BY TYPE

  • TRIVIA (1)

    • Andrea: (talking about her boyfriend Tony Dane) You know, just because we have not met does not mean we do not have something special...

The timeline for the storytelling in this season is incorrect since Andrea has previously met Tony Dane in the episode "My Best Friend's Boyfriend". Andrea, Tony, Samantha, and Todd went on a double date in that episode.

  • QUOTES (6)

    • Samantha: (beginning of episode) Nostalgia. Seems everyone's stuck reliving their past. I don't get it. Of course, that might be because I don't have a past. It seems silly making a big deal out of something that's not a big deal anymore... (end of episode) I get it now. Nostalgia. In nostalgia, I do have a past. The same ones as theirs. And as long as I have that, I can never be alone.

    • Tommy: You're not putting me on? The name? The face? Nothing?
Samantha: No. You see, I had this accident and I have amnesia. So everything, just pffft! Gone.
Tommy: Yeah, I get that. I don't remember much of the '80s myself. (Samantha gives him a puzzled look) I'm a musician.
Samantha: Well, that's OK. I'm between jobs too.

    • Samantha: (talking about fanaticism over rock stars) I don't get it. I don't get how we can worship somebody that we've never met and who shows absolutely no interest in us at all.
Howard: What is all this talk again? If you don't want to go to church with us, don't go.

    • Todd: (to Andrea and Dena) Hey, no crumbs! I sleep on that couch.
Andrea: Dude, you sleep on a couch and your ex is dating Tommy Wylder. I think you've got bigger problems than crumbs.

    • Dena: Now you have Tommy Wylder all to yourself, you're better than us?
Samantha: Oh come on, I am still the same old Sam. I have not changed.
Barista: (calling out from coffee bar counter) Decaf latte for Samantha Wylder.
      Samantha: That's me!

    • Regina: Here you go, sweetie. Brought you peanut butter and pickles on an English muffin. It's one of your favorites.
Samantha: Is it really? Because you usually say that when you're just trying to clean out the fridge.
Regina: This one's real. Eat it.

  • NOTES (2)

  • ALLUSIONS (1)

    • Mr. Cellophane, the name of Dena's dog who had the birthday party, is the title of a song from the musical Chicago, which is set in Chicago during the prohibition era. Samantha Who? is set in modern-day Chicago.
