Samantha: (opening monologue) There are people in the world who have no one in their life. No one to come home to. No one to share their day with. (sees Todd brushing his teeth and cleaning his ears in her bathroom) Those people are so lucky... (end monologue) Okay, so like I was saying, except the opposite, it is a nice thing to have people in your life. You just have to remember that they're in charge of their own destiny. And that you can't control them, no matter how much you want to. No matter how much they really need you to take the wheel, don't do it. All you can do is give them a nudge in the right direction and hope for the best. The good news is, you have more time to focus on your own life. To solve your own problems, big and small.
