I like Mugen better, but obviously in a fight it would be a draw.

Well, if Mugen could learn some self-control, he would destroy Jin in a matter of seconds. disciplined + wildness = you, dead on the ground.

arn't they sup[posed to be both proficient at different things? Mugen = multiple opponents and large spaces/ Jin = close quaters and fewer opponents. jin would eventually win, he uses strategy instead of pure strength and goin crazy.

Jin, as someone mentioned Jin is better with few opponents and Mugen uses alot of moves that will tire him in a few hours of fighting.

In a fight, Jin would win.  They would be fighting for a while, though.

is this a who would win or who is a better charachter? who would win its a draw, you see that from the show, who is the better charachter, hands down its Mugen. i really dont think anyone can sit here and say they loved samurai champloo because of Jin's calculated moves, but its because Mugen is such a hilarious and outrageous charachter. How about the episode where he trained his beatle to win him money or when he steal's Fuu's diary opens it up and has a crazy shocked face and then realizes that he cant read, Mugen is the better charachter

I really love mugen as the better character, but I think that Jin just might win in a fight.

    Mugen would kick Jin's butt.

Nah, we all know its a draw. Remember the last episode where they fight each other, but their swords break when they strike? In samurai times, that was a clear sign of equals, and the fight and ill-will were put to rest, as it was in the show. Draw.

I think it would be a draw, but i would be cheering for Jin. I feel Jin is over looked as a good fighter because he isnt jumping and break dancing with his sword in hand. No offense to Mugen. they are both skilled with a sword.

I have to agree with that. But, then again, maybe I can appreciate his character more because of the odd amount of stuff that I know about the Edo period in Japan (or pretty much any time period before any substantial contact between Japan and other nations was made.)

And, although Mugen and Jin are both awesome characters, they are the best when they are together. You can't beat Mugen being outrageous and Jin dead-panning his humor. Nothing betas it.
