  • A little bit skeptical about their mission, Mujen and Jin read Fuu\'s diary. When reading, they get Fuu\'s take on the major events that have happened up to this point.

I really liked this episode. It shows you the Fuu\'s perspective of what has gone on up to this point, which hasnt been done yet. This is the first time we get a glimpse of what she was thinking. Fuu\'s diary entries are great, I love it how she blames everything bad thing that happens on the trip on Mugen and Jin, even the stuff that was her fault! It was also interesting to hear Fuu talk about the tragedies she had encountered; ex: mom\'s death, sick mother\'s son dying; which was a a nice touch because up until this point we havent heard her talk much about any of those topics. There was one thing that irritated me though with this episode. There is a dude who gives info about Japaneese culture and it just kind of slows down the shows flow. Despite this overall this was a very good episode and i recommend it.moreless
  • A Clip Show

    6.0
When a series is animated *and* only runs 25 episodes, I don't really think it's too much to expect that each episode actually have new material. While this is a decent enough episode as far as "clip shows" go, clip shows are, by definition, rehashes of previous episodes, and thus it was tremendously disappointing to find one in "Samurai Champloo." Two clips into this show I said to myself, "They *can't* be doing a clip show, can they? It's only 25 episodes!" But alas, they were.

    A disappointment.moreless

It all start out with Jin and Mugen curiously begin to read Fuu\'s diary. But also her diary is more or less reviewing from the last episodes more liked an recap. But this episode has gotten to very funny. But in the end.....it was an tricked and Mugen curse. This show you that curirousity kills the cat.
  • This was the most funniest episodes I have seen.

Ah, the old "boys-snoop-in-the-girl's-diary" plot...classic. The gang's finally got the cash for an inn, and Fuu loves it. She indulges herself in the hot springs - while Mugen and Jin read her diary to learn about the Samurai who smells of sunflowers. Personally, I thought this was a really cute episode. It wasn't only a nice recap of the past few episodes, but it was interesting being told from Fuu's perspective. She can be really funny, that one. It was just like her to go, "P.S." and then talk about food. In the end, Mugen and Jin find out that was not her real diary and they ar so mad.

  • While Fuu relaxes in the hot springs, Mugen and Jin sneek a peek in her diary in hopes to find out more about the sunflower samurai.

    9.6
The episode just took us back to how far the characters have come on their journey to look fot the sunflower samurai. i thought it was funny and witty, and it does kinda show that Fuu enjoys travelling with Jin and Mugen, even though she RARELY shows it. I enjoyed the end of the episode where the song "Who's Theme" by Minmi was played to refect all the places the group had been to. She also sand "Shiki no Uta" for the other ending theme song.moreless
