Episode Summary

EDIT
Rematch! Battle at lunch time
AIRED:
Lunch time is typically a madhouse for many of the students at Daimon High. Ryoko avoids getting involved, that is, until Azumi Kiribayashi challenges her to a K-fight cooking battle where the winner gets to bring a lunch to Tatsuya-senpai!

  • It's predictable, but fun.

Iron Chef and a bento box scramble are the highlights of this episode which takes a break from the main plot of actual fighting and other-worlds conflict. Not much character development, except the introduction of Shiori Goto from the drama club, plus highlights of the mysterious Flower Arrangement Club with these sticky brushes that have me curious as to what those look like in reality; isn’t ikebana supposed to be a really challenging art style? Most of the episode action is very cartoony in nature with the boys taking the brunt of the results so that pity is expected plus we get lots of nurse Hishinuma which is a plus. Tatsuya seems to walk really slowly despite how fast the girls run. Overall, the keeps with the comedic spirit of the series, and with a swimsuit / beach episode afterwards, there can only be more comedy.moreless
