I liked this episode. The beggining was very kawaii with the whole Tsubame thing and little Yahiko... sigh. So anyway at the resturant Yahiko sees Tsubame again and spits his rice on Sanosuke. :) Then he tries to stop these guys... the guy slapped Tsubame, a little girl. What kind of grown man does that? And Yahiko actually managed to beat two of the thugs. It took two of them to actually beat them. Wow. So then he trains and Kenshin tells him a strategy, then in the alley a cool fight goes on and then Yahiko wins. It was funny when Kenshin fell and the cicada thing. "Little Yahoko" :)moreless
In the beginning of this anime episode, Yahiko was training with a simple version of the training device and later the version saw at the manga.
Edit
In the manga, Yahiko has got a job at Akabeko since this story to have enough money to buy a sakabatou. At least, that's what he says when he's asked why does he have this job.
Edit
Tsubame's character design, at least her hair, is supposedly based on that of Sailor Saturn from Sailor Moon.
Edit
Yahiko: What are you two doing?! There aren't any cicadas in the spring!! Kenshin and Sanosuke duck behind a building and start buzzing. They're pretending to be cicadas, which are insects that buzz around in the summer when they're shedding their shells. For more information, here's a japanese site about cicadas. (In English.)
