Edward was a superb episode of Sanctuary and had a very intriguing mix of story lines. Henry was going through a lot of character development as Will learns more about how far Dr. Magnus will go to protect her abnormal friends. The story of Edward was cool as was his ability. It was fun to watch the mystery unravel as Will used his own gifts to sort through and find looked over evidence. Henry makes some life changing decisions and it was cool to see the others support him. I like how Edwards story turned out. I look forward to watching the next episode!!!!!moreless

  • A very emotional, psychological story...

Oh.. It is just always getting better.. they are having so much emotions and that very hard atmosphere what just keeps you on the screen... and you just never can come up what the final solution will be..

I loved the way this episode took us more back into Zimmerman's past - the police work.. and his old partner asked him to help on this totally stunning case - I most say the boy who played Edward.. to play that kind of autistic child.. and do it so realistically.. it was incredible.

And I most say I liked the sub-storyline of Henry and his dilemma of being abnormal.. having his curses and gifts and making sure what matters more..

    Very good episode...moreless

  • Loved it! Sanctuary just gets better and better...

This was a well written episode. Lots of emotion, a few twists here and there, great ending. Just loved Henry's sub-story and how it got linked into the main story. Can't wait to see what's gonna happen to him. And somehow, this episode really captured the true nature of the characters. I guess that means good direction and great performances from the actors...especially Amanda Tapping, who can be a little stiff at times, but here she was just amazing. The rest of the cast was awesome too. For me...this was by far the best episode of the series. Well done guys...I'm looking forward to more Sanctuary treats...moreless

    • Kavan Smith first appeared on Stargate SG-1 in the Season 7 episode Enemy Mine, as Major Lorne. Enemy Mine focused on the plight of the Unas, depicted in one of Edward's drawings that Kavanagh shows Will. Although he didn't share any scenes with Amanda Tapping in that episode, he would in several others during the series.

      Edit
    • Two pieces of the artwork showcased in this episode are drawings of the "uber wraith" from the Stargate franchise. The first is the Big Wraith from the Stargate Atlantis episode Sateda (played by Dan Payne) and the other is of Chaka from three Stargate SG-1 episodes : The First Ones (played by Dion Johnstone), Beast of Burden (again played by Dion Johnstone) and Enemy Mine (played by G. Patrick Currie.

    • Bigfoot: You've yet to discover your gift. Henry: You think turning into that mongrelized human is a gift? (Bigfoot sighs as if wounded or offended or both) Henry: Okay, that thing between my teeth? That's my foot. Bigfoot: You only see the curse in it. Every gift comes with one. Edit
    • Helen: Imagine a caterpillar arresting its metamorphosis before it becomes a butterfly … Henry: You really think it was a butterfly that brought down that snake creature? Look, I can't account for myself when I'm that thing. And what if I hurt one of you? I can't let that happen. So, you either chain me up in the shoe or you tell me how I can stop all this. I need to know what my choices are. Edit
    • Henry: Look, doc, I have spent my adult life working with abnormals, learning to accept them, even appreciate them. But now I am one … I'm terrified. Helen: I often wonder what would have become of you if I had left you on the Moors … to be raised by your kind. Henry: Well, 'least that way I wouldn't miss being human. Edit

    • Sistine Chapel: Robbie's painting is an exact replica of Michelangelo's famous painting on the ceiling of the Sistine Chapel in Rome. Edit
    • Sherlock Holmes: When Magnus reveals that she found Henry as a child on the Moors, this apparently refers to the Sherlock Holmes story The Hound of the Baskervilles (although in that story Holmes 'proved' there was no 'creature', just a very large dog). In the episode "The Five" it was suggested that Holmes friend and biographer, Dr. Watson, was part of the same secret London group with Helen Magnus. Edit
    • The Creature From The Black Lagoon: Edward is watching The Creature From The Black Lagoon (the story of another abnormal) on TV. Edit
