In this episode they say that Sir Arthur Conan Doyle modeled Sherlock Holmes after Dr. Watson's great deductive mind, but this can't really be true. The first Sherlock Holmes story was written in 1887. A year after the characters injected themselves with the blood which means Watson probably wouldn't have had any chance to garner a reputation. And Holmes was modeled mostly after Joseph Bell one of Doyle's former university professors. Also Doyle was living in Southsea at the time and Watson was in London so they couldn't have met.
