  • All the episodes where Fred is sick, plays sick, or is convinced he is sick are my favorites. There is a part of Redd Foxx's acting that seems to explode when he does that "overacting" thing that he does so well. And this is no exception.moreless

As I stated above, this is Redd Foxx playing Fred Sanford as his best. There are several episodes in the series when Fred is convinced he is ill (or even dying) and he gives himself completely to the act. This specific episode not only uses the fabulous overacting of Foxx, but Fred also manages to throw a few barbs at the old, the white, and the ugly. Once again, it is Fred at his best. As always, he drives Lamont crazy and turns the house on its end preparing for his impending departure from this world and his meeting up with Elizabeth in the next.moreless
