Fred: Hazel, how would like one across your lip?
Hazel: I'll bet that'll be the last time you give somebody something across the lip!
Fred: Hazel, If I hit you in the mouth, I'll bet your lips get to the hospital before the ambulance!
Lamont: Pop, it says right in this Bible "Thou shalt not steal."
Fred: And it also says, "The meek shall inherit the earth." So you got to start somewhere!
Fred: Aunt Hazel? You mean Witch Hazel!
This wasn't the last time Lamont would get close to the altar. A few years later, he would become engaged to Janet Lawson and would get as far as his bachelor party before the wedding was called off.
Alvin Childress, who makes a cameo the minister in this episode, played Amos in the television series Amos 'n' Andy.
Lillian Randolph (Hazel) is best known as Annie, the Bailey family maid, in the 1946 holiday classic film, It's a Wonderful Life.
This episode is based on the Steptoe and Son episode, "And Afterwards At", written by Alan Galton and Ray Simpson.
The title alludes to the traditional Bride's march.
