  • Fred's old friend, Bow-Legs, comes to visit, and after Bow-Legs' dance&song partner suffers an accident, Fred and Lamont stand-in during Bow-Legs' night club performance.

This is quite piossibly the single most entertaining episode of this excellent tv series.

Although there are other epsidoes that have more gags and jokes, and therefore more laughs, this episode stands out for the musical performances by Redd Foxx and Scatman Crothers. When Fred finishes his rendition of "All of Me" one can't help but join the studio audience in loud applause. And Redd's and Scatman's later stage act is so funny and so wonderful, it is unforgettable.

But it isn't just the performances, the episode has its own share of really funny moments, such as when Fred and Bow-Legs still try to get Bow-Legs' fallen partner to try to dance even while he's on the floor. And then there is the wonderful ending, with Fred finding out that his commitment to Bow-Legs was based on a completely wrong memory of their past, which makes a great surprise.

Overall, this is one of those that one will always remember and hope to catch on tv. It is a true classic, which is saying alot since "Sanford and Son" is probably the greatest sitcom of all time.moreless
