  • Brother, your sitting on top of a Goldmine! That pretty much sums up this episode as Fred tries to turn a hit and run into some cash.

Another very well written episode. I could not stop laughing from beginning to end. Fred gets in a hit and run vehicle accident and attempts to make a fast buck. How many of us would try something like this? The mastermind behind this scheme is not Fred, but Bubba. In this episode, Bubba's hair is in pretty bad shape. I am telling you, ole boy is in desperate need of a hair comb. I guess he could not find the make up artist. As usual, Smitty and Swanny are excellent doing their routine where Swanny gives the professional version of an explanation and Smitty breaks it down on the street level. Another reacurring plot device is when Fred goes on those tangents trying to remember those old movies. To this very day, I have never seen any of those movies. Dr Caldwell makes the first of his three appearances. I just love this character. As he enters through the door, he coughs all over the place and then drops that cigarette ash on the floor--hysterical. That car salesman sounds just like those commercials back in the day and that suit coat he was wearing was worth the price admission alone. The scene shifts down to the police station where Fred attempts to positively identify the crook. You almost miss a joke due to the editing. You have to pay close attention when Fred yells out “What” The criminal says rather softly,“I did not say anything” and Fred replies,“You better not say anything” and goes into combat mode. As expected, things don’t go as plan. Just another great season two episode.moreless
