SAS: Are You Tough Enough?

Show Summary

SAS: Are You Tough Enough? is a reality documentary series in which members of the public go through a simulated 10-day SAS military training exercise. The SAS or Special Air Service is a British Army corps that has served as a model for other special forces due to their intense and grueling selection process. Presenter Dermot O'Leary guides the commentary as trainees are whisked away from their doorstep and invited to volunteer for the SAS selection process. Although the training exercise is a mere simulation of what real SAS trainees must undergo, as these participants are taken through their paces by Commando Trainer and Scottish drill sergeant Eddie Stone, they begin to drop like flies until only one winner remains. The commentary provides ongoing information about what the SAS real process would involve at each step, where only an average of 10 out of 125 soldiers manage to pass the procedure. The series had three episodes filmed in the Scottish Highlands, Borneo and Namibia.
