    • QUOTES (1)

      • Farley: You remember the album, Abbey Road, and at the end of the record there's a song that goes "And in the end, the love you take is equal to the love you make." You remember that?
        McCartney: Yeah.
        Farley: Uh, is that true?
McCartney: I think so. In my experience, the more you give, the more you get.
        Farley: AWESOME!

    • NOTES (5)

      • Paul McCartney got a standing ovation after his performance of "Hey Jude".

      • As Al Franken mentions in the "Live From New York" book, the security guard protecting the Gap Girls set was moved to tears when "Hey Jude" was performed. Franken took advantage of this to take a few pairs of jeans for himself. (He offered to pay for them)

      • When Paul McCartney sings "Hey Jude", you can hear some of the audience members singing along with him.

      • During the monologue, Lorne Michaels and Paul McCartney talk about the money given to George Harrison after he appeared on SNL responding to an offer made by Michaels on the show in 1976.

      • Linda McCartney makes an appearance while Adam Sandler sings the "Red Hooded Sweatshirt" song.
