  • Trivia

    • During the "Butt County Dance Party" sketch, the video effect with the teletype calling up the criminal records shown in the lower half of the screen plays too early, thus ruining the sketch. After an awkward pause, Dan Aykroyd improvises a way out of the sketch.

  • Notes

    • The 6/18/77 rerun cuts the ill-fated "Butt County Dance Party" sketch and replaces it with "Victims of Shark Bite" from the George Carlin broadcast.

    • This is the first episode with the title "Saturday Night" instead of "NBC's Saturday Night."

    • Photos of the Not Ready For Prime Time Players appear in the opening credits for the first time.

  • Allusions

    • Mrs. Zimmerman: ...and your pantyhose is wrinkly like the elephant's!

This refers to a memorable commercial for L'Eggs Pantyhose from the mid-70's where a women's young daughter embarrasses her when visiting the zoo by telling her that her pantyhose was "wrinkly like the elephant's".
