During the end credits, Maya Rudolph, Rachel Dratch, and Amy Poehler are wearing matching pink sparkly dresses, possibly because of a sketch that was cut at the last minute.
At the end of her monolouge, Cameron Diaz accidentally combines two sentences, saying, "We have Green Day is here!"
In the opening of the Pope Debate, the captions identifying the candidates fall behind the introductions.
Also during the "Pope Debate" sketch, when Fred Armisen gives Chris Parnell the middle finger, you can see he stuck up his pointer finger both times because the pixilator was too slow.
In the spring break one, Cameron Diaz flashes the audience, however the blur was late and you could see she was wearing a beige strapless bikini top
Amy Poehler: Al Gore announced that he is creating an independent cable TV network called Current that will be aimed at 18 to 34 year olds and focus on technology, culture, fashion, television, music, politics, parenting, and the environment. Uh, even his cable channel won't shut up.
Amy Poehler: Funeral services for Pope John Paul II were held Friday and attended by a US delegation that consisted of Bill Clinton, George Bush Sr., Condoleeza Rice, Laura Bush, President Bush and one well hidden Gameboy.
Sketches not shown in the 60 minute version: "TV Funhouse: Michael Jackson in Court," "Spy Glass," "Sofawarehouse," "Woo! the Musicial," and Green Day's performance of "Holiday." The 60 minute version does add the "Me-Harmony" commercial from Jason Bateman/Kelly Clarkson (2/12/05).
This was the first time Green Day has appeared on SNL in over ten years; their last appearance was on December 3, 1994.
In the closing moments, before the credits, Cameron Diaz announced that her sister had gotton engaged.
Justin Timberlake makes a guest appearence in this episode, along with Jimmy Fallon and Drew Barrymore, during the Barry Gibb show sketch. This was Fallon's first appearance since leaving the show at the end of the previous season.
