Paul Simon's backing musicians are obviously lip-synching to the recorded tracks from his album Graceland, but Simon himself appears to be singing live.
In the "Limits of the Imagination" sketch where "Artie" Garfunkel and Paul Simon are admonished for keeping Uncle Seymour awake, Mrs. Garfunkel (Nora Dunn) accidentally calls the boys "Artie and Seymour."
Footage from Paul Simon's performance of "You Can Call Me Al" was re-used for an alternate "concept" version of the song's music video. (This is not to be confused with the better-known clip where Simon lip-syncs with Chevy Chase.)
Paul Simon joins the Five-Timers club with this episode.
