I\\\'m not a fan of SNL, I never liked SNL or thought it was funny, but I\\\'m a fan of Queen and saw their performance on this episode (thank you, youtube). It\\\'s strange seeing the band perform on a TV show, much less SNL, because their US popularity would wane in the years after 1982.

As for their performance, Freddie\\\'s voice wasn\\\'t exactly in its best shape here. This is expecially evident in Under Pressure. He squeaks several times and some of the high notes he sings on the studio album with David Bowie are sung a lot deeper here (the deepest I\\\'ve heard him sing). It\\\'s cool to see him play guitar on Crazy Little Thing Called Love, though. Brian, John and Roger all do great as usual (it\\\'s funny seeing John getting into it in the background), and we get to see Roger singing some of his trademark high notes backing Freddie.

All in all, a good performance, but nothing really memorable. I didn\\\'t even know they performed on SNL until tonight.
