Jimmy Fallon: Ashton Kutcher says he's ending his series "Punk'd". More bad news for anyone disappointed by this: you're a moron.
Tina Fey: The Catholic Archdiocese of Boston has mortgaged its Cathedral to finance a nearly $90 million settlement with victims of clergy sexual abuse. The Archdiocese said, "I know that seems like a lot of money... but it was worth it."
Tina: The Food and Drug Administration will decide next week whether to allow the morning-after contraceptive pill to be sold over the counter.
Jimmy: Not 'til next week?
Tina: Yeah, that's what I just said. Next week.
Jimmy: So.. what are we gonna do?
Tina: I don't know, I guess we're gonna have this baby...
Sketches not shown in the 60 minute version: the John Mayer and 'Jimmy Fallon explains what you did' segments on Update, "Wake Up Wakefield," "Howard Dean for President," "Rialto Grande," "Versace Egg Nog," and Jet's performance of "Look What You've Done."
A commercial called "New Hanukkah," featuring Chris Parnell advertising a new way to celebrate Hanukkah, was cut after dress rehearsal.
A "Celebrity Poker Showdown" sketch was cut after dress rehearsal, featuring Elijah Wood as Jack Osbourne, Rachel Dratch as Megan Mullally, Jeff Richards as Gary Busey, and Amy Poehler as Sharon Osbourne. A modified version appears on the Megan Mullally/Clay Aiken episode.
A "Christmas Carol" sketch was cut after dress rehearsal featuring Chris Parnell as Scrooge and Seth Meyers as Bob Crachit.
Darrell Hammond does not participate in the ice-skating during the end credits.
Chris Kattan made a surprise visit after leaving the cast earlier that year. In the opening monologue, he appears as Gollum from Lord Of the Rings and makes references to his leaving the show and how the show apparently sucks without him.
