WU good as usual but why not bring back our favorite gay guys to commentate on the issue?

[/QUOTE} They sorta did but as from Maine...

Not what I meant in the past the gay guidos would take pop shots at other gays in other states, that's what I wanted.

my guess is one of the writers took a trip to the museum one day and saw the painting and thought "wouldn't it be funny if the story behind these guys was just them doing weird poses" that's usually my theory for all of the joke references they do though

Ending skit was meh but overall episode was good Hathaway always brings it and the writers apparently are inspired to give her good stuff to work with.

    Loved
    - Romney Cold Open
    - Monologue
    - Homeland

    Hated
    - The Legend of Mokiki

    - I'm gonna miss Kate's Anne Romney. I did enjoy the beer can sound every time Romney drank milk
    - I'm kinda surprised SNL didn't mention the Dark Knight Rises
    - I liked the premise of "Girlfriends" but hopefully It'll be improved in future episodes
    - Was the Legend of Mokiki a leftover Digital Short?
    - I don't watch Homeland but the character Anne did felt like a Kristen Wiig character
    - I honestly thought the real Barack Obama was gonna come on Update

    * McDonald's: and that's why i work from home...and prefer Burger King

    * Rihanna: and now i'm fully tripped-out and toasted

    * can't wait 'til they do the real origin story of that Jackson Pollock painting

WOW I just watched this and really awesome episode. One of my favorite so far besides Seth McFarlane's episode

    Most favorites :

-MCDonald Sketch ...Just fabulous job! I think Bobby and Cecily should do more sketches together. They're a lot alike.I always see Cecily as the female version of Bobby, as well as Kate is the female version of Bill.

-Ellen ... It's so fun to watch. Don't you just love Kate every time she said "I'm Ellen". lol and that Sofia Vergara text message "Aaaiiiiiii!!" LOL this made me want to rewatch her episode again. That Pantene sketch Sofia and Kate did was just too funny every time I watch.

-Girlfriends. LOL everytime Cecily said "awesome!". Aidy could do better though. But anyway love it!

-The Monologue. So great! Why Seth didn't join'em though? And that "We-are-new" Tim and Aidy did, lol for giggles. Taran and Cecily have such great voices.

The episode is great. All Casts somehow got to play in a fair amount. Though I have to give Strong some credits here cause as a featured cast she really shined last night.

Can't wait to see Jeremy Renner in action next week

BTW, that "Patrick" on the phone in the McDonald's sketch, that was Seth, right?

Rihanna continues to do nothing for me. Cold open was meh. rest was decent. Homeland was pretty stand-out funny.

You're right, he was. Only got it on his second answer but then it was definitely him.

Is there some type of character limit to posts now? I can't seem to cut and paste my mini-review...

EDIT: I posted it in the episode guide, for old times' sake.

For the past few days I've been having problems with this site and I'm not sure why. The mods are gone, so who can I complain to?

After eight days of headaches, I was finally able to publish my "review" of Hathaway/Riri. My apologies for this inexplicable delay; I wrote my thoughts last Sunday evening, and my Wordpad document would not cut and paste properly to the site.

God, four straight seasons with RiRi as MG? That's right up there with Lohan's fourth hosting job in the "What were they thinking?" category of oddball SNL trivia.

It's a shame they couldn't come up with better material for Hathaway. She really is a good sketch player and very game. Maybe they should have done another Herb Welch or Royal Family sketch so that she would have had a chance to do some broken-in material. IIRC, her Kate Middleton was pretty good and they had topical material with the scandal over her nude photos.

Leon Redbone once promoted the same album twice in three months. Also, Leon Redbone nearly became a five-timer.

There are a lot of weird records from the first couple of seasons that will never be broken, like Buck Henry becoming a five-timer in only two seasons.

Unfortunately, nothing short of OD'ing or a fatal traffic accident will stop Lindsay Lohan from one day becoming a five-timer. Well, I shouldn't say "unfortunately." She could still become worthy of a fifth hosting appearance...decades from now.
