I believe I have a show of my own that night.

I figured Rihanna would be on, mainly for Battleship. The girl wants to become an actress.

I wonder if there will be a final Shy Ronnie then.

I think this will make Rihanna the first ever musical guest to perform three consecutive seasons...

Anyway, it bugs me that they have to bring in a second athlete host just to make up for last season when there was none...And next season is still threatening to bring in both Tebow AND Lin...Is there really THAT MANY PEOPLE who think that each and every athlete has promise as a host!?

Nope, but she is the first female. Paul Simon (twice) and Randy Newman have preceeded her for the feat.

Of course there's going to be another Shy Ronnie sketch! SNL never knows when to just retire characters when they have the very guest needed to bring them back. Every time Tina Fey hosts, there's Sarah Palin. Every time Justin Timberlake hosts, there's the Dancing Mascot, Robin Gibb and the other D***-In-A-Box guy. SNL THRIVES on predictability!

"Predictability?" If anything, it's the type of thing that makes casual fans of the show (i.e. not us) want to tune in. If the public wants Shy Ronnie...

Given the swansong trend of letting the departing cast reprise all their old characters, a last Shy Ronnie is a lock. Which is a shame, because I would have hoped that Samberg would have better self-control. Wiig is too wrapped up in herself to ignore the grotesque hackdom of trotting out Gilly or Garth & Kat for last bows. You'd hope that Samberg would be different.

Frown my initial reaction. A poor choice & the Super Bowl ended over 2 months ago. They couldn't get somebody from "Community" instead?

I'm fine with some swan songs. I want Jason's Devil to return. Oh, and Under-Underground wouldn't hurt either.

Just curious, What makes you think that Garth and Kat was their last performance? Nothing in that felt like a swan song.

I should count my blessings though; We could see Kuato, Liam, Declan, or Blizzard Man again.

I'd love to see an Under Underground Cinco de Mayo Festival. Or even better, a Mother's Day Festival. And to see Blizzard Man to return would be cool.

I'd like to see a Battleship parody, where it's more like playing the game.

They only do Blizzard Man with rapper musical guests, but that Battleship parody is quite possible. I'd like to see Ass Dan again too.

Wasn't Blizzard Man's second appearance with a rapper who WASN'T the musical guest? I dunno...Jay-Z might make an appearance to perform "Talk That Talk" with Rihanna, so you never know...
