I hate the idea of Mulaney intentionally giving Hader late rewrites to try to get him to break (and I don't understand why Lorne allows it) because it seems like now Bill is breaking more in other sketches. He used to be a rock but last season he almost lost it in two Herb Welch sketches. Admittedly, they were funny sketched but...

There would have to be so many cameos for the best Jimmy characters to come back.

Im kinda eh on this one but not necessarily because of Fallon hosting (though I wouldve said because of him hosting when he was actually on SNL and he laughed in every sketch) but because Im usually not that excited when someone who was once on SNL comes back and hosts it (unless they become a pretty big star like Will Ferrell of course) in comparrison to having someone who is a famous actor come on and do it. I came across this sketch Jimmy did on Late Night where he was a few potential GOP candidates and did impressions of them and I thougth the sketch was rather funny so maybe having his own show has improved his comedic timing who knows (still not that impressed with him as an interviewer though).

I don't know, I just think it's fun so far that EVERY host has been in a movie/tv show with a current SNL cast-member:

Alec Baldwin was in My Best Friends Girl with Taran Killam
Melissa McCarthy was in Bridesmaids with some lady
Ben Stiller was in Tropic Thunder with Bill Hader
Anna Faris was in What's Your Number with Andy Samberg (Deleted scene but still counts)
Charlie Day was in Horrible Bosses with Jason Sudeikis
Emma Stone was in Superbad with Bill Hader
Jason Segal was in Forgetting Sarah Marshall with Bill Hader (And former writer Liz Cackowski)
Steve Buscemi was in Portlandia with some guy
Katy Perry was in The Smurfs with Kenan Thompson
Jimmy Fallon was in Doogal with Bill Hader

It's like playing 1-degree of SNL cast members

They probably won't. They usually only do that with people who are very funny but had little to nothing to do with the show before they came on (like Brian Cranston, Jane Lynch and Ed Helms) while meanwhile taking every opportunity to bring back SNL all-stars like Jon Hamm, Tina Fey and Justin Timberlake amongst their many guest appearances. (Hell, I won't be surprised if all three of them appear in this episode.)

What to probably expect: Fallon, Sanz, Kattan and Morgan performing their Christmas song in the opening (Michael Buble might even assist them), Fallon talking about his thirteen-year-old prediction as well as the Mayans' prediction for the monologue, numerous returning Fallon characters, MAYBE Barry Gibb (with Timberlake), POSSIBLY Tina Fey somewhere in there, and Buble performing "Cold December Night" (probably for his first song performance since its his only original from the Christmas album).

While I personally thought that the last Timberlake episode was overrated for its over-reliance on tired sketches, that doesn't mean that an episode loaded with recurring sketches is a bad thing. Fallon's sketches were from a time when SNL actually had a little creativity with its sketches and was actually quite funny. If they can get this right, it can be a good episode to close out the year. Since this season is so far proving to be two steps up from the ultimate, uncreative low point that was Season 35, I have faith that they can pull it off...

I know this is old news, but this would be KILLER if they worked this in somehow:

    http://www.nbc.com/saturday-night-live/video/Monologue-Alec-Baldwin/1348838

(even though the writer of this evidently couldn't operate a calendar to save his/her life)

    Edit: http://www.dailymail.co.uk/tvshowbiz/article-2074111/Miley-Cyrus-denies-boob-job-rumours-These-babies-mine.html

Here's hoping there's not going to be a Miley Cyrus Show coming up. :S This would almost be too easy to write, too.
