Just found out via the SNL Facebook page Jonah Hill will be hosting for the 3rd time with musical guest Bastille.

    Speeking of bad 3-time hosts...

Others might have been way worse but I don't think he should have been booked again.

It's like a revolving door of repeat hosts. Jonah is not that good when he hosts. Meh.

That's pretty typical for SNL. Fey, Cyrus and Paul Rudd are the only repeat recent hosts so far this season. That's below average overall, last season being something of an anomaly. Besides, it's a transition year, the writing staff is out of ideas already, etc., so it's no surprise they're going with safe hosts. If they hadn't booked strong repeat hosts, the last three shows would have bombed.

Even if you don't want to count Goodman, you should add Fallon and Hill as repeat recent host. Also, since Gaga and Drake were MG before (and Goodman has his credentials) there is only a small group of hosts who have been completly new to cast and crew.

Of course you're right. My point is, that they play it safe this season (besides Hutcherson and maybe Drake). And they have good reason to do it.

Sorry, you're right about Jimmy. I disagree about Gaga and Drake and Goodman being "familiar" draws to the SNL viewership though, the point being that they did try to wing it a bit with the hosts at first this season. But I think they've given up on taking risks for the remainder of the year. You're going to see a lot of familiar faces hosting this spring.

I get your point, so I'm fine. I would say it ain't risky to book someone who has been there previously as MG and who have played in some skits. But of course it's more risky than booking Hamm or Baldwin.

I'm expecting they will bring some really new faces to host this spring - at least more as they did until now (Hutcherson).

I bet you they'll try to get Ejiofor or Nyongo from 12 Years a Slave to host.

I would've rather had Kevin Hart again but that's me.

Guess the "I'm 6" kid will return. Maybe Kate or Cecily as a "I'm 6" girl?

    Episode Predictions:

Monologue: Jonah addresses the fact that this is his second time being nominated for Best Supporting Actor for playing the sidekick to an aging pretty-boy from the 90s...He reveals that it is the secret to assuring constant Oscar nominations, and says that he already has his next big movie planned out, as well as its main actor...Enter Ben Affleck.

Sketches: The six-year-old smart-mouth will probably come back, and Bill Hader can cameo as the dad again...

Weekend Update: ...And if Hader is there, since this is Seth's second-to-last show, now would be the perfect time to bring back Stefon for one last encore. (Next week might be a little packed for a Stefon cameo since I think it would make sense to have both Amy Poehler and Colin Jost.) Can't really think of any major stories over the last week, but if there is, it will likely make both Update and the Cold Opening...

    First Musical Performance: Pompeii

Second Musical Performance: Of the Night

Cameos: Ben Affleck (just because of my monologue concept), Bill Hader.

The SNL alums who cameo either live in New York or are in town doing PR for a project. It's pretty rare that anyone flies in from LA just to do a cameo, so don't expect to see Hader. Besides, Bill's classy enough to avoid the attention-grubbing cameos. He leaves those to Wiig.

Short film "The Hit" was hilarious with thugs showing their gentle side.
