You called it Mayor opening and it wasn't bad. Didn't care for the applause bit other than informing those who don't know that GaGa can sing it did nothing for me. Paxil another meh.

"Waking Up with Kimye" is a bit long but worth it for Lady Gaga making ironic statements on fashion while dressed as a computer geek!

"Whaaaat! The Worst Cover Songs of All Time." was hilarious especially when "Adele" did her cover of the "LA Law" theme by simply making cackling noises during the instrumental!

    First Musical Performance: "Applause".

Second Musical Performance: She's got several notable songs, but the two most likely candidates are either "Dope" or "Do What U Want" featuring R. Kelly. Of course, Eminem picked the least likely of three songs two weeks ago, so there's no way to be sure...

Well, "Do What U Want" came first...

Hilarious "Weekend Update" especially all the Mayor Ford jokes and that "critic" that hated Lincoln's Gettysberg Address!

Well, that apartment interview was weird and only partially funny.

Acting camp was crazy fun. Okay spoke too soon cause Blockbuster closing was even crazier. I remember when the Hollywood Video turned tino a payday loan place and I just saw today Outlander and a viking funeral. So this bit was a little surreal for me.

The "Spotlightz" sketch seemed lame until the "Breaking Bad" (a show I never watched) and "Forrest Gump" parts when the mom dies. The Blockbuster tribute film seemed really weird but pretty creative so I'll give it points for that.

Well, I'm sure "Ashley" is scarred for life after seeing her parents perform in the audience!

Seeing Lady Gaga as an old woman was interesting. Certainly seeing sing her "old" songs was worth it. The "Roze Zone" making fun of the trashiest reality shows wasn't as funny to me.

Bad stage parents was fun. Old GaGa was creepy I hope she doesn't end up that way for real when she gets old. Most horrifying the ideal that One Direction and Will Smiths kids could ever be considered classic rock. Rose zone a typical meh to end the show.

Well Gaga didn't make the entrance i thought she would but still not a bad opening.

I like how they figured out a way to get "Kimye" back in there i have a feeling that aired in dress rehearsal on the week he proposed to her.

I loved that bad song cover sketch I was just waiting on Aidy to deliver a perfect Adele impression but the end result was so much better, i do think Keenan could have thrown in one grunt though.

I did not expect Gaga to the song she had with R Kelly let alone him showing up. As for her second song it started off mild but of course in true gaga fashion she had to bring out that guy who i thought was jay doing that baby character from the ferrule episode again lol.

I seriously didn't recognize Kyle in the two live sketches at first. I wonder if he wrote that Blockbuster short?
Hey john milhiser got a chance to shine. just for a moment.
The Future Gaga was funny She was giving me some serious Yetta from the nanny vibes lol.

Enjoyable episode overall. She was very good.

Will Lady Gaga ever come back to host again?

...Well, that depends...She's kind of at that past-her-prime point in her career...Not that she's doing poorly, far from it, but her newest album only got good but not great reviews...It's a sign that she might not be so relevant in the coming years...

That said, if perchance she has something big to plug ever again, she is most welcome to return to SNL. I was almost certain that they would pull an Elton John on her and have her wear crazy costumes in every single sketch. Instead, not only did she play down-to-earth (if a little weird) HUMANS, but even when she played herself, from the monologue to the musical performances, her flamboyance was surprisingly toned down...

...Which is my main criticism of said musical performances. They were still very good, but the unique innovation that made her last two appearances stand out was missing. As a result, they were slightly-above-standard pop performances. This is pretty much the opposite of my criticism of Eminem two weeks ago, when I said less is more. This time, more is more for Gaga...But she still did a good job with them overall...

As for her acting, I was quite surprised how much she melted into numerous roles (even if most of them were "quirky nerd" characters), that at times I forgot that I was watching that crazy pop singer with the meat dress...

All in all, she had my "Applause"!

PS, Kinda weird that she didn't even perform "Applause", though I guess it was because they practically played it the rest of the night...But hey, by now it seems like two things are certain when Gaga performs on this show: She briefly performs an unplugged variation of one of her songs on piano alongside a bigger, traditional dance performance, and she makes unpredictable choices with her songs...She's weird like that...She's weird in many ways, but I still respect her...

    My Opinion:

Cold Open- Clever and Funny. Especially the Ending

Monologue- I didn't get it. Apparently, A Claus in Double Duty hosting contracts includes doing a parody of your own song (Like Miley did with We Did Stop) Though I did enjoy the ending.

Paxil- Funny parody, Though I would have called it SuperPacil. If you didn't get that reference, Watch Colbert

Waking Up With Kimye- Lady Gaga dressed down is kinda hot. If I got into the show now, I wouldn't know who was playing the Apple store lady. Still waiting for the Lena Dunham show (I can wish can't I) And overall I'd like to see this sketch a few more times.

What, The Worst Cover Songs Of All Time- Can I Buy this album? Rick Ross, Adele and Susan Boyle were my favorites.

Weekend Update- Is it just me or does Cecily end up with either throwaway or sex jokes? Mr. Senior= LAME, Totally Biased did a very similar character
Jebidiah Atkinson- Did Taran fumble or was it scripted. The answer if Taran's on the show next week, And bring that sketch back a few more times. Time for RuckHappy and Stu to chew him out for breaking.

Tenant Rules- Don needs to re-examine his directing. I'm seeing the Boom-mic and stagehands way too many times this year already. Kate channels Fitzwilliam as the crazy lady. And my fathers favorite movie is My Cousin Vinnie.

Spotlightz- Has it been 3 Years and 4 Days? Laura Parsons returns to chew the scenery. Too bad she didn't go to the Disney Channel acting school. SNL has now parodied Breaking Bad more times than it did when the show was on the air.

Blockbuster- I should have done that and stole a ton of movies.

Talent Pageant- Gaga is a hot brunette. The Unofficial sequel to Little Miss Sunshine.

2063- Another clause must state you have to do a future sketch with Kenan. Wow this sketch was depressing.

RoseZone- Isn't this basically the E Network?
