The star of the FX hit comedy show and one of the best and raunchiest, in your face, stand-up performers makes his hosting debut. Could be a classic given his interviews I have seen him do on Leno get multiple bleeps and major audience responses.

Fun is the musical guest on the sheer fact that they have turn out to be NOT a 1-hit wonder after all.

He was on Parks and Recreation with Amy Poehler who... you know.

Also, Louie was a writer on "The Dana Carvey Show."

I am thinking fun. (all lower case, if it matters) shall be performing Some Nights and hopefully We Are Young. They could do Carry On though, as that is their new single.

I knew they'd be on. And I'm so glad. Though I figured they'd have been on sooner than this.

It should be noted that Louie was the first host chosen by that NBC fan poll.

Out of curiosity, who else could have been host due to that poll?

I really wish they hadn't done that poll thing i mean i understand that they are trying to give an audience a chance to see their favorite actor and musician on the show but i liked the old fashion SNL, when they would just chose whoever is in an upcoming movie and who is number one on the billboard charts i think it worked better that way.

Did they officially credit the poll with Louis being chosen to host? I thought the suggestions were just for show.

The writing had better be strong. I would hate to be the writer directing Louis in some lame-ass sketch that still isn't working during Friday rehearsals. Along those lines, I wonder if he'll dig in and help with the writing or just lay back. I could see it going either way.

Here is the official announcement Stu mentioned:

    :
SNL Host and Musical Guest Suggestions!

    Posted October 25, 2012 8:28 AM

Hey everybody! It's that time again, when we open the floor to your suggestions for host and musical guest on Facebook and Twitter. Not sure if you all noticed, but we are listening. In fact, our next show (Nov 3rd) is hosted and musical guested by two of the top suggestions from the last time we did this: Louis C.K. and fun......

Seth pretty much confirmed it on Fallon last night.

Snowstorms, Anthrax, 9/11, Death; Nothing can stop SNL when they're supposed to air.

Are they taking suggestions all season or just this month? ...To be honest, I'm so annoyed by their musical guest choices for the two episodes following this one that I want to see about making my own suggestions...I'm just so sick of this show's predictable formula with host and musical guest choices (especially when they start to become a little too frequent) that I want them to open their eyes to guests that are a little more unusual...To say the least, musical guests who aren't being brought in solely for their current popularity...

As you've probably already assumed, no Tuesday promo was shot this week.

Um, there were promos. You can watch them on SNL's website.

Jason Sudeikis was on Letterman Friday night. Great revealing interview and interaction between him & Dave. He was stuck in France and did not get back to NYC until Thursday morning.

http://www.cbs.com/shows/late_show/video/2300059528/the-late-show-11-2-2012Interview starts at 19:20 mark. The interview lasts over 11 minutes+.

I predict the cold opening to be a Mad Max/post-apocalyptic spoof about the current conditions in NYC area. With possibly one or more cameos.

Opening okay even though I've never seen the animated sign interpreter. C.K. monologue was good loved the old lady bit.

Um okay what did Australian culture do to deserve a lambasting? Well it was mildly humorous I'll give them that.

Craig Ferguson has been talking about Being Prime Minister of Australia. That's about the only reason I think.

Anyone else think their Australian sounded Swedish?
