I don't know, Nasim's voice can get pretty high and whiny, kinda like Amy Poehler's.

You keep saying that but it's not true. She does that for various character voices, but not all. For instance, as the mom in the corn syrup commercial she wasn't nasal at all.

But Vanessa would be the best of the two as an Update anchor. Hopefully they're going to cast an even better option because, frankly, none of the cast likely to be back would make a great Update anchor.

You're right, it's wishful thinking. Seth will man the desk for at least another two years, I'm sure.

Also, with this year's season finale Seth will break Tina's longevity record, 120 shows to her 119.

I see Bayer doing it. She seems to be the "Tina Fey replacement", for a lack of a better term, and they usually tend to give her news reporter/talk show host type roles. I dont think shes too bad, but sometimes she does distract me with the way she is obviously reading off cue-cards. Maybe with some more preparation she will be better.

I don't get all the hating! I don't watch much SNL, but this was the best episode I've seen. For those of you that watch it regularly I'm sure that's hard to hear, but I thought it was great! I never watch anything more than once (except Friends episodes, but with constant repeats for 10 years, that's hardly my fault) and yet, I've watched the whole thing twice and various sketches up to 5 times!

I love almost every sketch. Faves are Bronx Beat (AP is a true pro), The Game Show, What up with that and the Obama Show. The game show makes me cry with laughter and hurt in places I didn't know existed. Kristen laughs the whole time, but that's what makes it great! I enjoy sketches so much more when the comics find them so funny that they laugh too.My favourite comedians are the ones whose eyes are always laughing.

TheObama showmade me feel really nostalgic; my family used to watch itevery Sunday afternoon and I loved it so much! I haven't seen the other comics do Obama, butFred was good! Why do people feel theneed tobe so hyper-critical; it's meant to be a FUN programme. If people have so many complaints, maybe they need to stop watching it, because they have stopped appreciating what's good about it.

I just watched this episode on On Demand last Sunday night. (First time for me watching SNL) I loved it! So funny!

Don't take it personally; some of us are just burned out.

Boy you could say that again. Some of us have been watching for 25+ years now. In the past 12 years or so I don't remember so many annoying trendy ratings-luring throwaway guest hosts, political cold openings, excessive cameos or unsatisfying sketches with little payoff or blatant obvious one-joke premises in the 1990s or 1980s. Blame it either on the writers sticking to a repetitive formula, cable competition, current cast talent or current trends, but there's just something lacking in the show today. It doesn't help that the strongest cast member in Wiig does so many cringe-worthy characters/sketches. I don't recall being so critical or wanting cast members to leave so badly back in the day, either. This show needs another Carvey/Hartman/Ferrell in the worst way.

Maybe K-Mac is the answer, time will tell.
