Ok that Last Sketch was Pretty Funny.

    What Will/Should get Cut?
    - Cold Opening
    - Monologue
    - Doll Commercial
    - Weekend Update (Friends)
    - Ranch Food Tasters
    - 1st Performance of Lady A?
    - Digital Short?

Big Plunge from Alec Baldwin but "Acceptable"

I didn't think there was anything wrong with Melissa McCarthy hosting SNL.Melissa McCarthy wasjusttryingto be Melissa McCarthy, andI loved herfrom start tofinish.

Thepart whereshe says "I like tokick the crow" was downrightfunny.

I can't wait to see the next episode of SNL, and the next episode of "Mike & Molly"

Boy, am I glad I gave watching "Saturday Night Live" another chance, because you never know who's gonna host.

I thought she was funny and enthusiastic! I laughed more at tonight's show than I have in a long time! I hope they have her back.

    learned:

    * the HPV doll, freakier than even Talky Tina

    * i thought melissa did a good job ad-libbing throughout the night

    * comment section: most relevant-to-modern-society skit of the show

    * it's true what they say about cocoa butter: it's a mystery

    * between the horse balloon and the hidden valley ranch, she's a party!

I thought it was pretty bad. I only really laughed at the doll commercial and the Chris Rock thing. The rest didn't impress me at all.

I did somewhat enjoy the Mae West impression. No where close to being Mae though for a take off.

The main problem I had with this episode was the writing. Even though only Lawrence Welk and Gadaffhi's Friends From Growing Up were returning bits, neither of them demanded another installment, and McCarthy was too frequently put into "Desperate Overwight Lady" roles. Also, I thought the Digital Short and the Mae West film parody were too one-note. Other than that, the rest was pretty enjoyable, even if it wasn't as good as last week's show. It's a step up from Cranston/West or Reynolds/Gaga as far as second episodes go.
