So he's the host and musical guest?

What would be the difference? The last time he wasn't there as musical guest but he still performed two songswhile the Foo Fighters just played one.

That's right. I thought that was terribly unfair.

Taylor Lautner is hosting this episode, and James Franco is hosting Dec 19.

I had a feeling someone from Twilight/New Moon would host. Taylor seems like the choice though. Robert gets nervous performing in front of crowds, and Kristen doesn't seem to play any character that isn't depressed, so comedy is out. (I hate that I know that) Safe to say this show will have a lot of 14 year old girls (and their mothers) watching.

I'd love to see a spoof of New Moon, considering there are so many shirtless dudes in shorts in the movie. I saw the movie today, and there really are lots of shirtless guys. In almost every scene.

I'd rather see him host then that pretty boy Robert Pattinson. I got suckered in to seeing that crappy New Moon movie, there's two+ hours of my time that I will never, EVER get back

I'm not sure if I like the idea of him hosting again, his first time wasn't that great, and they keep booking bands I've never heard of on this show

What genre of music, out of curiousity, is this band Muse anyway. Regardless, I always end up liking the performances of most of these bands I never heard of before I've seen them on the show anyway, so this might not be any different.

I would describe Muse as Radiohead with crunchier guitars.

I hear ya. But it was a slight improvement over the first. I say slight as in 1% though.

Thank god Jon Bon Jovi is not hosting again..... that was just so bad two Octobers ago..... sooo bad. I actually think that was the worst episode of SNL I've ever seen beginning to end. (And, yes, I know there are MANY in store for me from past seasons if they ever release the DVDs)

Even if he's not hosting again, I'd bet on him making at least one sketch appearance.

Just wait until you see Deion Sanders/Bon Jovi. Compared to that episode, you'll be clammering to see "Where's My Purse?" again.

Considering that their mothers will also be watching, I'm sure they can stay up.

I have a very obvious feeling that the monologue will be Twilight related.

The promos for this don't look too good, although that could be because Conan's been doing werewolf/vampire stuff for weeks now, so by the time SNL does it on Saturday it'll probably be played out. Taylor also ended the streak of hosts appearing on Fallon the week of their gig (but that's because he was on a few weeks ago already). On a side note that probably only interest me Abby Elliot will be on Fallon on 12/18! Lorne Michaels will probably find some way to get her out of that interview though. Kristen Wiig will play her in the interview or something.

Well, the monologues are certainly getting more ... acrobatic.
