Consolation for getting interrupted at a lame awards show?

I am very surprised with this, atleast we get to see if she can act. I dont think that CSI episode did much for her there.

I'm sure she'll be fine... but is she the first performer to perfrom two SNL gigs off one album?

I think she is in some movie with Taylor Lautner from Twilight. Could be wrong.

Huh, I'm surprised no one from New Moon hasn't been booked to host. I still expect that.

Nope- Leon Redbone and Paul Simon pulled the same feat. Plus, this is the second time Taylor's been on in the last calendar year, which is a rarity nowadays.

I don't think Taylor Swift is the any of the Twilight series films.

That's the reason why imdb is there for you...

    http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0817230/

She will be in Valentines Day next year with Taylor Lautner from Twilight and a big bunch of really interesting colleagues. After she took a guest spot in the Broadway skit this season I'm not really suprised but can imagine she could be an 'okay' host.

Yes, I think everybody who is anybody is in that movie, except for Katherine Heigl because they wanted her to work for pennies even though the movie is going to be a huge hit.

As for Taylor Swift, this is going to be terrible and I wouldn't be surprised if they had Fred Armisen as Kanye West.

With the exception of Obama and Prince, all black celebrity impressions default to Kenan. He would never be a convincing Kanye, but then again, his Flavor Flav wasn't all that impressive, either.

I was sort of joking, sort of being the key word. Yeah, obviously they go to Kenan, but there are some that he just can't do and it has nothing with his inability to do a voice different than his. Kanye West would fall into that group. Armisen in make-up and those women's sunglasses would be the closest thing they could get from the cast, and I think the audience would laugh if he showed up dressed like that even before he said a line.

Does Kanye still wear those shutter glasses, or are those so 2008?

Technically, I think she is promoting the new deluxe edition of her "Fearless" album. So, she would probably (and hopefully) be performing new songs, : )

I initially was unhappy about this, but then I thought about Swift's sketch appearance in NPH show.

I'm cautiously optimistic about it, since one of the things SNL does well is take people you wouldn't expect to be any good at sketch comedy and deliver a surprisingly solid show (after all, Zac Efron hosted a better episode last season than Steve Martin and Alec Baldwin). Hopefully, the first thing she says to the writers on Monday is "no VMA spoofs".

I dunno. When it was announced that she would host, I guess she dropped hints at mocking West. But, that doesn't need to be in VMA context.

I think a VMA reference is almost inevitable.

The most likely situation I can think of is someone interrupting her in the monologue. Just gonna make a guess right now and say Alec Balwin.

Or she'll field audience questions, and the faux seat-warmers start interrupting each other.
