Am I the only one who is insanely dissapointed in this episode?

All of these sketches tonight feel like Great Beginning sketches that nobody got around to finishing.

One of the biggest laughs I've gotten: The ending of Miguel's Second Song.

I have to watch my recording tomorrow since I opted to watch Fitz & The Tantrums videos on youtube instead of Miguel.

The opening monologue was just classic Vince reminded me of Jonathan Kite's impression. I can't tell you how perfectly that soap opera sketch worked with the fact that they use cue cards. It was nice to see another (Kate McKinnon does a foreign accent) moment on weekend update I like that they are kinda making that a thing now they always crack me up. As for Miguel's performances I figured he was perform "Adorn" even though it is kinda old for SNL standards but then again Kendrick Lamar performed Swimming Pools. His second song, I can't say i ever heard it before and I feel he chose that one for the sake of SNL because I thought he would have done "How many drinks" but ah well. The prom sketch seemed like something they should have saved for whenever Alec Baldwin host again, don't get me wrong Vince pulled it off it's just it reminded me more of something Alec would do. Hey Kate has her first character, about time. It was funny because I was doing the exact face as Keenan after that nose kiss.

    * so then, don't clap? I can do that.

    * oh, the real Weather Channel Maria LaRosa is so...yeah...

    * it's bad theatre, but fantastic experimental theatre.

    * Miguel: pimp Mic

    * derection averted once learned of her fountain-mouth skill...

Okay then so Miguel is a guy with a decent voice who idolizes Prince but doesn't have the to talent to properly mimic him.

Weak episode, one of the weakest of the season, but not Renner territory. This episode was just random. The Pacino joke would've been funnier when "You Don't Know Jack" came out. Stormy Skies was actually funny, but get ready for many repeats of it. History of Punk was just awkward. Of course, they had to recur one of the only good sketches from the CK episode. Much like last April. In my opinion, very funny and strong first episodes and the second episode was bland and weak...

Also, I didn't know who Miguel was before he was announced, but I have to say he's one of the better musical guests of the year. Strong music season anyway

Indeed, almost every pop/R&B singer went all out with the energetic performances. I was kinda hoping Miguel would take it easy and keep "Adorn" as the smooth, easy-going song it was originally recorded as, since all the other R&B singers this season did something along the lines of what he did. But the fact that he was willing to just go crazy while he sang these big songs with his above-passable voice makes him one of the best of this season (and with the Brunos, Ne-Yos, Macklemores and Timberlakes that went before him, that says a lot).

Indeed, very few musical guests disappointed. I was expecting more from Mumford and Sons, Passion Pit was just awkward, Kendrick Lamar didn't do much to stand out as a rapper and Bieber was just "meh"...But otherwise, the musical guests have all poured everything they had into their performances, and I highly appreciate their commitment.

I just watched it, and itcould be perhaps I am insanely sleep deprived, but I thought it was funny. Not perfect, but not bad. Best was the Pacino thing.

What I found so strange about that sketch was that NBC hasn't aired the NBA in like, ten years at least.

Good call. Fitz and The Tantrums are excellent and much better than Miguel, IMO.

I mostly liked last night's show. Actually, some of the later sketches either skipped some frames or were briefly blacked out because of the rain weather where I live so I probably didn't see everything on my DVR.

This episode is this years "Clunker" at least to me. Just like Lindsay Lohan last year, Elton John the year before, January Jones the year before, and so on.

I liked Pacino, Stormy Skies, and that Short term memory play.
