This is why they increased the writing staff from 22 to 26 (five added, one departed). When you think it, four straight weeks of live shows takes a bigger toll on the scribes than the cast; sometimes the creative fountain just doesn't flow.

So thats, Ryan Perez, Michael O'Brien, Hannibal Burress, Christine Nangle, who's the other new writer?

Also, who was the departed writer?

    that's Michael PATRICK O'Brien
    How could I forget?

If we've learned anything from Rachel Susan Dratch and Casey Rose Wilson, they don't use middle names on SNL.

    What about Anthony Michael Hall?

He was already an established movie star when he joined the cast, so he was an exception to the rule.

    Does A. Whitney Brown count?

Jerry Minor used to sometimes go by Jerry C. Minor, I remember that's what they used to have him listed as on Second City's website

As a Chicagoan, I don't know if this whole Olympics thing is a good idea. I'll go more into detail on my blog next week, regardless of tomorrow's announcement.
