Let's see if I remember it this week.

Hell, I've forgotten that the new season starts this weekend.

This episode was okay except for Shep, the virgin senior from Univ. of Connecticut, I could've done without that. Upside, one of the new cast members appeared as Kathy Griffin and Ms. Fox gave us a preview of what to expect from her on Saturday.

Nasim played Kathy Griffin. A spot-on imitation, might I add.

As for the writers, I thought Marc Shaiman left in 1988...

Forgive my ignorance, but what exactly does a writing supervisor do?

Is that an assistant to the head writer?

The opening was kinda funny. The rest was so-so. The bit with Clinton wanting to meet Fox was predictable.

It's like a second-in-command, yes. They often don't write sketches themselves, but "punch up" and contribute to the writing of others.
