Sorry if someone already asked this, but was that commercial an old one just for filler or did they really bring Parnell, Morgan and Rudolph back for that?

There was nothing concrete in the show saying Darrell would be leaving, though. Maya Rudolph's heightened premise in Year 32's season finale suggested she was being sent off, but she stuck around for the first few episodes of the next season.

As for the show itself, it was easily toward the top of the heap for this season in my opinion. It started out slow, but in between Celebrity Jeopardy and "Goodnight Saigon" I don't think there was a sketch I would consider less than average.

The last sketch was such a cool sketch. I loved it so much. SNL usually never does season finale send-offs, but this was great. It was so cool seeing Artie Lange, Anne Hathaway, Paul Rudd, and Elisabeth Moss just doin a 2 minute spot.

Why was Artie Lange on the show? And on the same night as Mad TV's series finale?

I watched madTV and found it kinda sad that could only get three people to come back and one of them was by a vid

Well, when you all think about it, they were all by vids. The show was probably taped a month ago or so.

true. To bad stu isnt in the forum tonight, i want to know what he thought of tonights show.

To me it was a great show, i was worried it would be a night of to many stars. I was right but it didnt let me down. The last sketch was random enough to pass. Although i still wonder if this Darrell or anybody elses final episode.

I don't mean logistically. I mean that it's strange that a former Mad TV cast member would make a surprise cameo on Saturday Night Live. It would be like having Derek Jeter Day at Fenway Park.

It was such a good sketch. Like, even if it was just total randomness, it still would have been awesome, between the original Joel song, and the most RANDOM stars ever, but also, it actually tied into it all just for being Ferrell trying to leave without a check.

I know Darrell would be going into his FIFTEENTH season next year, but honestly I don't want him to leave...

So it's offical this was Don Pardo's final episode, if it was then i wonder why they didnt have him in the good nights or something. They wished him a happy b-day in the goodnights last year.

Agree on some stuff, disagree on others.

    - I like all three of the people you put as worst cast members. I think the problem is they do not get as many good scenes as Hader got this season, and Forte has to play the straight man a lot which is not playing into his forte (horrible pun intended). - The James Franco episode was pretty good, and Steve Martin was okay. Agree with you on Rosario Dawson though. Phelps gave his best so I won't knock on him too hard because he's not an actor, and his episode wasn't that terrible.

    - I like Michaela Watkins, but you can't really put her in a best castmember category when she hardly gets any time. My top three would be Samberg, Forte and Sudeikis.

    Brilliant finale.

Great job, and the cast and crew has a much needed hiatus. Darrell & Don is departing the show, how heartbreaking that is

Anybody know where I can find the Goodnight Saigon skit.
